Netflix is adding a new video game adaptation to its platform. The streaming giant is finally giving in to one of the most in-demand projects from fans.

Netflixhas produced several video game adaptations over the years. Their animated series includesArcane, based onLeague of Legends,Dota: Dragon’s Blood, based on Dota 2, andCyberpunk: EdgerunnersfromCyberpunk 2077. They also produced live-action adaptations from hit video games likeThe Witcher,Resident Evil,Dragon’s Dogma,Sonic Prime, andPokémon: Journeys. The officialClash of Clansaccount on X, formerly Twitter, made a major announcement —Clash of Clansis coming to Netflix. “Sound the horns, raise the banners, and reinforce your village walls—Clash is invading@Netflix! We’re making a new animated series starring your favorite mustachioed Barbarian and his high-pitched, hog-riding friends. Charge!” the announcement read. The post on X was accompanied by a clip showing tons of requests from fans who wanted to see aClash of Clansmovie or TV series. Fans have been asking for this project since 2012 and are finally getting it with the anticipated series,Clash. Netflix also announced the project and confirmed that the upcoming series would reflect the game’s chaos and brutality. The streaming giant added:

Fletcher Moules, who directed the originalClash of Clansanimated videos, will showrun the TV series. Ron Weiner, known for projects likeSilicon Valley, 30 Rock,Futurama,andArrested Development, will serve as executive producer. Icon Creative Studio, a CG Animation Studio based in Vancouver, British Columbia, will lead the animation, perThe Hollywood Reporter. The company is also behind the Emmy-winningMonsters at Workand was involved in several animated projects, includingRocket Club: Airing, Action Pack, Firebuds, Alice’s Wonderland Bakery, Transformers EarthSpark,andThe Search for WondLA. They have several projects in production likeStar Wars Young Jedi Adventures, Prep & Landing, Disney Junior Ariel,andDragoons. Curtis Lelash, the head of film & TV atSupercell, said they were delighted that the project was finally happening because many had been asking for it for years. John Derderian, vice president of animation series, said the characters from the Clash of Clans were “perfect for an animated series adaptation.” He was also pleased to be part of the projects becauseClash of Clanswas a “global gaming phenomenon.” It dominated the mobile gaming charts for a long time. And Derderian was excited to work with Weiner, Moules, and the Supercell team.
