The End Of My Hero Academia Was Fulfilling

The end of My Hero Academia was on the horizon once Horikoshi revealed the Final War Vs All For One was about to begin. Fans were deeply invested in My Hero Academia at this point already, and what’s more, the author then picked up the pace and delivered even greater quality. My Hero Academia’s Final War saw the Paranormal Liberation Front, and along with it, All For One in a major war against the Heroes. Although the war was quite difficult for the heroes to deal with, in the end, they pulled throughout and it was largely down to the collective effort of the next generation and old-generation Heroes that it was won.

Of course, the protagonist of the series played the biggest role, and in the end, even went ahead and sacrificed his own Quirk to ensure that All For One was gone forever. Deku ended the war, and etched his name in history with that, also giving up his quirk in the process. The end toMy Hero Academiawas bittersweet for many, but this wasn’t all. Horikoshi also went on to drop two one-shots about the series after.

This is the story of how I became the greatest Hero! — Izuku Midoriya

Fans got a good look at the lives of the Class 1-A students in the future as they established themselves as solid Pro Heroes. At the same time, the author also ensured that Deku became a Hero once again, thanks to the efforts of his friends. More than that, Deku and Ochaco’s romance also blossomed at the end, and if that’s not all, then fans alsogot a look at Eri’s lifein the most recent one-shot, where Bakugo and Deku’s new Hero rankings were also revealed. With that, My Hero Academia came to an end.

Horikoshi Has Already Begun Work On His New Manga

Fans Should Expect Horikoshi’s Next Manga Soon

WhileMy Hero Academiahas ended,Horikoshi isn’t planning to rest for long. In fact, he’s already begun work on his new manga, and this was confirmed by him a few months ago. Since then, he’s likely made a ton of progress. Horikoshi initially said that he was interested in only doing art for his next manga, but now, it’s confirmed that he’ll be doing both. Here’s what Horikoshi had to say:

I feel really lucky over the success ofMHA, so I know there’s a lot of pressure around my next move. I’m planning to start a new manga as soon as I possibly can. I was thinking of committing myself to simply drawing my next project, and letting someone else write the story, but my editor advised me ‘It will be better if you do it all yourself.’ With that in mind, I’ve slowly started writing and drawing the thumbnails of my next manga.

Horikoshi’s Next Manga Could Surpass My Hero Academia

My Hero Academiawas a phenomenon, but Horikoshi’s next manga could be just as good, if not even better. The fact is that Horikoshi knows a lot more about Jump than he did whenMy Hero Academiabegan. He is also a popular author now, and more than anything, he has tremendous experience.

Horikoshi also has a plethora of ideasthat he’s yet to tap into, and the author has previously revealed he wants to add an element of horror to his next stories. A darker story with compelling character writing like My Hero Academia is grounds for a series that will have the fans hooked from day 1 and that’s exactly why every fan of MHA should be excited for Horikoshi’s next manga.

The My Hero Academia manga was wrapped up by the mangaka, Horikoshi, in 2024. The story features 430 chapters for fans to read. All these chapters can be found onManga Plus, as the story used to be serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump when it was still ongoing.

When it comes to the anime, this series is still awaiting its final season, which will be released later this year. The series can be watched on Crunchyroll.
