Don’t worry, child! Grandma is here! — MHA Chapter 430
Curiously enough,Horikoshi introduced a characterat the end ofMy Hero Academiawho fits the bill. This particular character looked just like Tenko Shimura and had nobody to help him. The same grandma that ignored Tenko long ago helped this kid, and the rest became history. This kid being just like Tenko means that he most likely wants to be a Hero too, especially now that he’s helped himself.
Horikoshi revealed further information about this kid, showing that he is indeed relevant, in the grand scheme of things. Horikoshi has revealed the name of his character to be Kouki Terumoto, and he is a potential candidate for the next protagonist ofMy Hero Academia.
Kouki Terumoto Could Be The Next Protagonist Of My Hero Academia
Kouki isn’t just some random character that Horikoshi decided to include in his story. The fact that he looks just like Tenko Shimura means that his inclusion in the story in that particular manner was very much deliberate. In fact, even in terms of appearance, he looks just like Tenko. More than that,Horikoshi focusing on himenough to give the fans a name is proof that he’s bound to be important.
His Quirk Is Called Darkness
Not only did Horikoshi give the fans his name, but at the same time, it was also made clear to the fans that Kouki has a powerful quirk called Darkness. What exactly this Quirk does isn’t known. In My Hero Academia’s latest artwork that features 144 characters, Kouki Terumoto is also included and it seems he has black smoke emerging from his fingertips, which seems to be his ability.
Should Kouki be the protagonist of a potential My Hero Academia sequel, fans know that they would get a character with a brilliant story to tell, and a desire to help others. At the same time, ability-wise, his powers are astonishing, and he would definitely make for a good successor to Deku.
