My Hero Academia’sFinal arc concluded last year in the manga, and it has catastrophic consequences for Deku’s future as a Hero, at least initially. Deku Jumped To Number 4 Hero Recently
While fans knew very well that Deku has lost access to the One For All, it doesn’t mean that he’s weak. 8 years after the conclusion of the war, fans saw that technology had made great advancements in the world and this meant that the armor that All Might wore during the Final War has been improved upon greatly. Thanks to the help from the class 1-A students,especially Bakugo, and even All Might himself, a special armor was made for Deku.

This Armor is extremely strong and it allows Deku to be a Hero once again. Horikoshi also confirmed that it holds very special powers, the likes of which have not been seen in the world of My Hero Academia yet. Here’s what Horikoshi confirmed about Deku’s new hero armor in My Hero Academia:
Question: How does the armor that Deku received from Class A function?
Horikoshi: It tries to mimic various OFA abilities, for example, it has cable extensions that function like his ability Black Whip. It also serves as a prototype where he can try to combine various abilities.
More recently, in the latest My Hero Academia one-shot, Horikoshi confirmed that Deku has now officially become the Number 4 Hero. This means that he’s in the same conversations as Mirio, Shoto, Mt. Lady, and Bakugo.

It must be noted that while Deku is the Number 4 Hero, he has only held this position for a very short time, and even in that time, he teaches at UA during the day. Deku hasn’t had enough time to climb higher on the Billboard Chart, and the rank of Number 4 Hero most certainly isn’t his peak.

Will Deku Become The Number One Hero?
It is entirely possible thatDeku will become the Number 1 Heroin the future ofMy Hero Academia. However, if an update on the Hero Rankings does drop, fans should fully expect him to grow higher, because his suit van copy One For All abilities, and that makes him a monster in combat.
