Watching his successor struggle to revive trust in heroes on his own breaks All Might, whose struggles at being unable to reach out and give hope to Midoriya are something people experience in real life, time and time again.

It’s heartbreaking to see a young girl face so much trauma in life already, which is why fans love it when she finally cracks a smile during the U.A. School Festival. A bit of effort from people who care can brighten any sad person’s day, and Eri is no exception.
