What makes the moment so emotional is that she’s a constant companion throughout the game who seems to have the player’s best interests at heart. This moment of self-sacrifice propels the player into the final act and is one of the emotional highpoints in the game.

Early in Limgrave, players can learn quickly about a so-called Festival of War held in Caelid by Radahn, the demi-god child of Marika and Radagon. However, when players finally get there, things are slightly different than expected.
Radahn has long-lost his mind and has become a mindless husk. Turns out the Festival of War is actually a festival dedicated to battle with Radahn on the crimson dunes. It’s a wildly cinematic battle with flashy visuals and a tragic story at its center.

The Old Gods
Throughout all ofElden Ring, Marika is one of the most important (and possibly evil) characters, but the player doesn’t get to talk to her. Instead, she’s seemingly imprisoned within the Erdtree after shattering the Elden Ring.
When the player finally gets there, they learn the truth for certain. Marika and Radagon are the same person, two halves of the same self, and they form part of the final boss to fend the player off for good. This confrontation with the Gods needs to be in any cinematic adaptation.

Though there are countless dramatic bosses in theShadow of the ErdtreeDLC, none are quite as extra, cinematic, and over-the-top wild as the fight with Bayle the Dreadhidden away in the Jagged Peak, the craziest dragon fight FromSoftware has ever designed that’s got so many visual effects it’s liable to make the frames drop.

It’s a tragic, difficult, epic fight full of surprisingly beautiful imagery and incredible music. It’s everything that makes a FromSoftware boss fight great, even if the difficulty is incredibly high, making it one of the most cinematic moments in the entire game.
