Beyond that, fans on Reddit have begun to uncover details in the Game Fest trailer that seemingly hint at Leon’s return. One user noticed what appears to be Leon’s Jeep sitting in ruins in front of the Raccoon City Police Department, the character’s former workplace. Another thought an out-of-focus picture on the wall of one scene looked like Leon inResident Evil 6. Another, perhaps more convincing, sign is that Nick Apostolides, who voiced Leon in his most recent appearances, now lists a “AAA Video Game” on his resume website that he can’t name because of an NDA. Some fans think that could beRequiem.

The game’s setting lines up with these theories, too. As the trailer confirmed,Resident Evilis returning to Raccoon City for the first time in 23 years, potentially symbolizing the series going back to, or at least paying homage to, its beloved earlier entries. One of the most popular of these titles featuring the city isResident Evil 2, which marks Leon Kennedy’s franchise debut.
