Ever since the spin-off series started, fans have been wondering what role Suho would play in the story, given that his father is already the strongest being in the entire universe. While thethreat of Itarims looms over Earth,Sung Suho has been using the Systemto become strong enough to defend humanity in his father’s absence. Sung Jinwoo is fighting the Itarims in outer space, but humanity needs someone to defend them in case these malevolent forces are able to reach Earth. Sung Suho was bound to receive the Primordial Darkness from Antares, the former Monarch of Destruction, and the System made Suho capable enough to withhold such destructive power within him. Well, that moment has finally arrived in theSolo Leveling Ragnarokweb novel, and the young boy has consumed the Primordial Darkness received from Antares, the Dragon King.
Solo Levelingfans thought that after becoming the successor of Antares,Sung Suho would become the Monarch of Destruction. However,Ragnarokconfirmed that even after consuming the Primordial Darkness of Antares,Suho’s new title after the Job Change Quest is"Monarch of Transcendence."

In a sense,the Primordial Darkness of Antares is reborn but with a different name. Apparently, titles like Monarch of Destruction and Dragon King were already for him to grab, but it’s possible that Suho didn’t want to flex such titles after obtaining this power. He wanted to pivot this limitless power his own way and use it for good. As mentioned in the web novel’s chapter, Suho can’t become the “King of Dragons” because he is a human, and he definitely does not want to become the “King of Humans.”

He Is Also The “Guardian Of The World Tree”
“Monarch of Transcendence” is indeed a suitable title for Sung Suho, but that’s not the only title he is granted after the Job Change quest. Interestingly, while overcoming every challenge thrown at him, Suho successfully conquered the Shadow of the World Tree. As Antares states in the series, the boy has made tremendous efforts to conquer the Sea of the Afterlife, and that is whyhe is also rewarded with the title of “Guardian of the World Tree.”
WhileJinwoo is busy holding off the massive army of Itarims in Outer Space, Sung Suho has been raising an Army of Monarchs.Ragnarokhas revealed the names of several new Monarchs, one of them being Arsha, who is now the Monarch of the Void. There’s also Thomas Andre, who has become the Monarch of Conquest. However, Sung Suho, the Monarch of Transcendence, has a much bigger role to play than other newly formed Monarchs.
While it’s not exactly stated in the series,Sung Suho will possibly lead all the other Monarchs against the forces of Itarim.Sung Jinwoo is a one-man army, and it doesn’t seem like the Shadow Monarch needs any help against the Itarims, at least for now. However,Sung Suho must shield Earth against the Apostles who are crossing over to Earth through Gates, and he certainly can’t defend humanity alone. So, while it was important for him to become stronger using the System, it was also crucial for him to raise a team that’d help in this fight.
The path that Suho intends to walk isn’t easy, though. So far, the boy has impressed everyone with his sheer will, but now, Suho will have to live up to his father’s name. He must learn to adapt to his new and powerful form while also ensuring that his friends survive this fight. Jinwoo has been doing everything in his power to prevent Itarim from ever reaching Earth; however, it is likely to happen sooner rather than later. And when that happens, Sung Suho will have to lead the ultimate battle with the help of other Monarchs, as it’s hard to say if Jinwoo will arrive back on Earth on time.
Regardless, Sung Suho has become a totally different person, and his new form is indeed astonishing. Honestly,it’s about time that we get the much-awaited team-up between father and son, which will only happen when Itarims find a way to reach Earth.
