Although Shota Aizawa and Mirio may have drastically different personalities inMHA, they each find common ground in their care and affection for Eri, the talented child rescued from the clutches of the Shie Hassaikai. As Eri’s guardian, Aizawa is in charge of caring for the young girlwhile at U.A. High campus, with Mirio playing a significant role in accommodating and entertaining Eri, showing her the lay of the land while his quirk was removed.
Aizawa thinks highly of Mirio, stating he believes the Big 3 student could become the number one hero in the future, with Aizawa working with Eri to find a way to recover Mirio’s quirk, eventually succeeding with Mirio joining the fight against Tomura Shigaraki and his minions.

Agency Partner Who Fights Side By Side With Mirio Against Overhaul
In Midoriya’s journey to become the savior of humanity, Midoriya spends time at Sir Nighteye’s agency, working alongside Mirio. Taking a keen interest in Deku, Mirio helps introduce Midoriya to Nighteye, with the pair playing a key role in the fight against Shie Hassaikai and Overhaul. Impressed by Midoriya’s fighting spirit and talent, Mirio mentors Midoriya in his work placement, showing him the ropes of hero work.
From Midoriya’s perspective, the protagonist thinks so highly of Mirio that the One For All user proposes that Mirio inherit the quirk while his powers were taken away, valuing his positive attitude and mindsetin spite of his challenging situation.

Powerful Child Who Helps Mirio Recover His Quirk
The sweet and innocent Eri certainly had a tough upbringing while under the control of the Shie Hassaikai, a Yakuza group that intended to harness her quirk to corrupt the superhero-dominated society in Japan. As one of Eri’s rescuers, Mirio has since taken a great hand in looking after her on U.A. High Campus, showing her the sights and acting as a brother figure, caring deeply for the child.
After Mirio’s quirk is taken away in the fight against the Shie Hassaikai, Eri’s Rewind quirk is used to recover Mirio’s Permeation after training to use her abilities with care.Eri is eager to aid Mirio, as the pair have developed a special and familial bond since her rescue.
3Nejire Hado
Big 3 Member Who Shares Mirio’s Enthusiasm
One-third of the Big 3, Nejire Hado, becomes a faithful ally and dear friend of Mirio inMHA. Thanks to their bubbly personalities, the pair get on well, representing the best of what U.A. High has to offer. When Nejire first arrived at the school, Mirio and Tamaki Amajiki were the first two classmates to talk to her, allowing Nejire to feel comfortable and beher outgoing and confident self.
Along with Nejire being in awe of Mirio’s growth and talent level, the pair have fought for their lives on the battlefield together in the Paranormal Liberation War, with Mirio making a return, thanks to the restoration of his quirk, to fight alongside Nejire, among many others, against the villainous Shigaraki.
2Sir Nighteye
Agency Leader Who Foresees A Bright Future For Mirio
The famed former sidekick to All Might, Nighteye, master of foresight, is a mentor to Mirio, employing the talented U.A. High student at his acclaimed hero agency. As a firm believer in the potential of Mirio, Nighteye believedthe power of One For Allshould have been transferred to Mirio, a perfect student who has the potential to follow in the footsteps of the symbol of peace, All Might.
Likewise, Mirio thinks the world of Nighteye, with the student being distraught when his mentor is on his deathbed. However, Nighteye, in his final moments, foresees a future where the greatness of Mirio prevails, with this serving as a parting gift for his cherished pupil.
1Tamaki Amajiki
Timid Classmate Who Mirio Helps Comes Out Of His Shell
Since their days before U.A. High,Mirio and Amajiki have been best friends, eventually rising to become part of the Big 3 alongside Nejire. When they first met, the timid and quiet Amajiki was immediately comforted by Mirio, with the pair hitting it off when the topic of heroes came up. Frequently inMHA, Mirio has been shown to give Amajiki confidence and reassurance over his quirk and social skills, always being on hand to aid his friend, whether in battle or in daily events.
Amajiki, meanwhile, is amazed by Mirio, admiring his work ethic in perfecting his immense quirk and cheerful persona, which has continually uplifted Amajiki throughout their adolescence. Even when Mirio lost his quirk, Amajiki reassured Mirio that he would soon regain Permeation, returning the favor for all the times Mirio raised his spirits in the past.
