One of the many powerful Archetypes that players have access to in the game is that of a summoner. As the name suggests, this Archetype can call upon the power of strong beings who use damaging or healing techniques at the cost of a lot of MP. This list aims to break down the very best summons in the game, starting with…

8Lizardman

Deals Extreme Physical Electric Damage To One Enemy & Lowers Their Defense

Synthesis skills are great to use inMetaphor, although players should verify that these techniques areworth using two Turn Icons. One such skill acquired early on in the game is Lizardman, which may not sound intimidating but can be quite useful in combat.

Extreme Electric damage early on in the game can hit like a truck, especially if the summoner has high Strength. It also lowers an enemy’s defense and makes it easier for players to deplete their health bar.

Kishin, a summon in Metaphor: ReFantazio

7Kishin

Deals 2-4 Medium Magic Electric Attacks To One Enemy

Seeing Atlus' version of Thor arrive inMetaphoris always a blast, which is why Kishin can be so much fun to use. It helps that the multiple Electric attacks can deplete an enemy’s health bar significantly.

Exploiting an enemy’s Electric weakness with this move never ceases to be satisfying. It also boasts a relatively cheap MP cost compared to other summons in the late-game, which can be a godsend in lengthy battles where the last thing players want is for their summoner to run out of MP at an inopportune moment.

Undead King, a summon in Metaphor: ReFantazio

Deals Severe Magic Dark Damage To One Enemy & May One-Hit Kill Target

Severe damage is always welcome with any skill, which is why this particular summon is so treasured by players. It doesn’t eat into a caster’s MP too much and ensures that the attack hits like a truck.

The added bonus of killing a target in one hit is also welcome, although this is useless against bosses since they’re immune to such cheap tricks. However, seeing a regular enemy being taken out by the Undead Kingis always satisfying and makes this summon all the more valuable.

Tyrant, a summon in Metaphor: ReFantazio

5Tyrant

Deals Severe Magic Almighty Damage To All Enemies & May Inflict Hex

Almighty-type damage isvaluable in the endgamewhen enemies have so many unpredictable defenses that it can be hard to land a substantial hit. Players who don’t want to think too much in combat can just summon Tyrant instead to blast foes with a round of Almighty damage.

Not only does this hit like a truck, but this technique can also Hex enemies, causing them to damage themselves whenever they land an attack. It’s a very powerful attack that makes the summoner extremely useful against late-game enemies that attack in droves.

Fury, a summon in Metaphor: ReFantazio

4Fury

Deals Extreme Magic Strike Damage To All Enemies & Decreases Their Attack & Defense

Any damaging attack that also debuffs enemies is always welcome, which is why Fury is such a useful summon to have inMetaphor: ReFantazio. In an interesting turn of events, the Strike damage dealt by this summon is magical in nature, which makes it perfect for high Magic users.

On top of this, it also reduces both the Attack and Defense of enemies, killing two birds with one stone. Seeing enemies be absolutely ineffective in combat after this summon is cast is very satisfying and makes Fury a summon that players will rely on all the time.

Harvest God, a summon in Metaphor: ReFantazio

3Harvest God

Revives Any Allies From KO And Restores Them To Full HP

Summoners are versatile not only because of their varied offense, but also because of some healing powers that are in a class of their own. Such is the case with the Harvest God summon, which is one of the most powerful heals in the game.

It revives everyone and brings them to full health, although the MP cost is pretty massive. However, if the party has been rocked after a particularly damaging AoE attack, then summoning the Harvest God is a no-brainer.

The Dragon God in Metaphor: ReFantazio

2Dragon God (Modified)

Deals Extreme Magic Fire Damage To All Enemies & Decreases Their Attack & Defense

Summoning the Dragon God after defeating it is a satisfying moment that every player will cherish after a hard-fought battle in the Dragon Temple. The modified version of this summon is even more powerful, blasting foes with fire damage while debuffing both their Attack and Defense.

However, this eats up a lot of MP and shouldn’t be spammed all the time. Nothing’s more frustrating than fighting a tough boss, only to see that the party’s summoner doesn’t have any juice left after unleashing blasts of powerful fire at opponents over and over again.

Eupha in Metaphor: ReFantazio

1Eagle Lion King

Deals Extreme Magic Wind Damage To All Enemies & Significantly Decreases Their Attack

The Eagle Lion King summon may be a Synthesis Skill, but using two Turn Icons is worth it since players can deal double the damage and also reduce an enemy’s attack significantly.

Not only does thisshave off a decent chunk of the enemy’s health bar, but it also renders their attack totally ineffective. Splitting the cost of 18 MP between two characters is also pretty decent and ensures that the summoner won’t run out of MP in just a few turns.
