The fresh mode is called Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol, and it is unlike anything players have seen in the popular hero shooter before. Instead of the usual running around the battlefield, players will choose full teams of heroes to face off against enemies on a tactical grid. This mode places a strang emphasis on strategy, as players will combine heroes with special modules to determine how the match plays out. NetEase Games has also announced that players will be able to earn free rewards by playing the new mode, including emojis and sprays.

This isn’t the only new thing players have to look forward to, as NetEase Games recently announced that it will be releasingnew skins for Wolverine and Jeff the Land Shark inMarvel Rivals. Wolverine will be receiving a Weapon X program skin, which is based on a famous run of the comics. Meanwhile, Jeff the Land Shark is receiving a bit of a summer makeover with his Sunshine Land Shark skin. Squirrel Girl and Rocket Raccoon have also received “Sunshine” skins, which both showed the heroes in beach attire. The new skins for Jeff the Land Shark and Wolverine are scheduled to release on June 5 at 7 PM PDT in the game’s store. As of writing, NetEase Games has not announced just how much the cosmetics will cost.
