Marvel Rivalshas given players their first look at the balance changes that will come with the popular hero shooter’s major Season 2.5 update on May 30. NetEase Games recently revealed numerous changes and features coming toMarvel Rivalsin the near future, including a new map called Arakko, which Ultron has transformed into a lifeless machine-infested setting.

In a recent trailer, NetEase Games showcasedUltron’s upcoming ability kit inMarvel Rivals. From the footage that was shown, it seems as if Ultron has an ultimate ability that allows him to summon copies of himself. Once all of the Ultrons are gathered, they can launch a collective attack of targeted explosions that deal significant damage to enemies while also healing allies. The flying Strategist also has the ability to use small drones to summon shields for himself and nearby allies, though the duration of the ability appears to be short. His primary attack is a beam that shoots from his right hand, which also has the ability to heal teammates while harming the opposition.

In addition to launching a new playable character, NetEase Games released apostrevealing all of the upcoming balance changes players can expect to see when the game’s major mid-season update launches on May 30. It would seem thatMarvel Rivals' Captain Americawill be receiving a slight nerf, as his health will be dropped from 600 to 575. Human Torch will also be receiving a bit of a nerf, as the damage of his Fire Cluster ability will be reduced from 7 per hit to 6 per hit. A couple of his cooldowns will also be increased, meaning he won’t be able to use as many abilities in rapid succession. Iron Man, Emma Frost, and others will also be receiving some nerfs with the upcoming patch.

On the flip side,Marvel Rivals' Doctor Strangewill be receiving a boost to his damage, as the damage falloff of his Daggers of Denak and Maelstrom of Madness abilities will be reduced. Magneto will also be receiving a slight boost to his main damage abilities, which should make him more powerful overall. Squirrel Girl will also be getting a buff, as the ammo capacity of her primary ability will be increased from 10 to 12.

Marvel Rivals' recent Dev Vision updatealso gave players a fresh look at new team-up abilities coming to the game. One of the gameplay clips showed off an upcoming team-up between Venom and Jeff the Land Shark, which allows the Strategist to heal nearby allies by using the symbiote’s tendrils. Jeff the Land Shark is also receiving a team-up with Storm, where the two unite their ultimate abilities to create a tornado with the shark attacking enemies within it. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future ofMarvel Rivals.

Stephen will receive a slight boost in the damage of his standard abilities.

He is still Groot…but with less damage and with less frequent Ironwood Walls. Looks like the Flora Colossus needs some trimming!

Magneto

The Master of Magnetism will receive a slight boost to standard damage abilities. He’s really going to attract some wins now!

Thor

By Odin’s beard! Thor’s abilities are getting a tweak, but his survivability is taking a minor hit!

DUELIST

Hawkeye

Clint’s getting a boost to his regular hits! Looks like the Archer’s aim is getting sharper!

Hela

The Goddess of Death is getting a slight increase in her sustained damage! Looks like she’s ready to reign supreme!

Human Torch

Flame on… but with less damage and survivability! Sorry, Johnny, looks like you’re getting a little less heat!

Iron Fist

Lin Lie’s taking a bit of a hit to both his damage and survivability.

Iron Man

Iron Man is seeing a reduction in his Repulsor Blast damage and burst survivability. Time for a new suit upgrade?

Remove Iron Man’s Gamma Overdrive from the Gamma Charge Team-Up; Gain a new Team-Up Anchor effect from the Stark Protocol Team-Up.

The Sub-Mariner’s defenses will be sinking a bit, but his Monstro Spawns are getting stronger, and his Ultimate is bigger! Time to flood the battlefield!

Psylocke

Sai will take a slight dip in her burst damage ability and survivability.

Squirrel Girl

Squirrel Girl is getting some love! Better acorns, shorter cooldowns, and improved ability release feel! This is nuts!

Star-Lord

Peter is having his Ultimate frequency reduced, but his Ultimate power increased. Time to bust a move!

We’re giving Luna a boost to her combat prowess while slightly reducing the frequency of her Ultimate Ability.

Rocket Raccoon’s survivability is taking a tiny hit!

Also, he’s blasting off from the Ammo Overload and losing the Team-Up Anchor bonus, but he’s gaining a new Team-Up Anchor bonus in the Rocket Network for some stellar new support!
