In addition to adding a new character to the game,Marvel Rivalsreleased a new Combat Chestwith the major mid-season update. The Combat Chest appears to function similarly to a battle pass, though it is smaller in both size and scope. For 690 Lattice, gamers can purchase the full Combat Chest, which will give them new skins for Magneto, Storm, and Mister Fantastic as they gain experience and level up. Once someone purchases the Combat Chest, they are able to unlock the items at any time, which means it doesn’t expire. Those who don’t wish to purchase the Combat Chest are still able to earn some free rewards, like the Future Foundation skin for Mister Fantastic.

In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games revealed that it will be releasing a new Weapon X costume for the DuelistWolverine inMarvel Rivalson June 5 at 7 PM PDT. This costume is based on Wolverine’s time in the Weapon X program in the comics. The image NetEase Games shared shows the hero with machinery on his head, chest, and arms. He isn’t wearing a shirt, but he is sporting dark yellow pants. As of writing, NetEase Games has not announced just how much the Weapon X skin for Wolverine will cost.

Marvel Rivals Reveals a Weapon X Skin for Wolverine

Wolverine isn’t the only hero getting a fresh skin on June 5, asMarvel Rivals' Jeff the Land Sharkwill also be receiving a new costume. Jeff’s new outfit is called Sunshine Land Shark and shows the popular Strategist with brown and white skin. He can also be seen wearing a ring of purple flowers around his neck. It seems that this skin is part of an ongoing summer series, as both Squirrel Girl and Rocket Raccoon have also received “Sunshine” costumes.

Marvel Rivals' Jeff the Land Shark was recently reworkedas part of the major mid-season update. While his Joyful Splash ability was originally only able to heal allies, the stream of water can now also hurt enemies. This allows Jeff to deal more damage on a consistent basis while providing support to his allies. Dealing more damage also means that his ultimate ability recharges faster than before. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future ofMarvel Rivals.
