Summary

A dedicatedMario Kart Worldplayer has discovered over 200 alternate routes while playing through Nintendo’s newest mascot kart racer.Mario Kart Worldwas released as a Nintendo Switch 2 launch title late last week, both by itself and as part of a special Switch 2 console bundle. Either way,Mario Kart Worldbrings back all of the thrills of past entries with a much wider scope befitting its title.

Unlike previousMario Kartgames, thetracks inMario Kart Worldare all connected in a semi-open world that players can explore between races in the game’s new Free Roam mode. The courses themselves are also much larger than those ofMario Kart World’s predecessors, to the point where players can discover alternate routes and chart out the quickest path to victory. This naturally adds an element of experimentation toMario Kart World’s arcade-style racing action, as well as some variety to repeated runs through the many different circuits and game modes.
