At The Game Awards 2024,Ryu Ga Gotoku revealedProject Century, its next major title. The game is actually titledStranger Than Heaven, and at Summer Game Fest, a new trailer shared more of the title’s setting and gameplay. While certain parts of the game look to be set in 1915, other portions take place in 1943, implying that players will be leaping between different time periods as they explore dense Japanese locales. Unfortunately, no release window or projected platforms were shared, but given the level of polish already on display and the studio’s penchant for quick turnarounds, players hope that it won’t be long before it hits shelves.

Ryu Ga Gotoku’s Project Century Properly Announced as Stranger Than Heaven

As expected from a Ryu Ga Gotoku title, combat seems to take a front seat inStranger Than Heaven. However, it looks like the game willdiffer from theLike a Dragonseriesin some ways, with players being able to either kill their enemies or choose to show mercy mid-brawl.
