Lethal Company’s sole developer, Zeekerss, is teasing a new monster coming to the game. The developer has been hinting at some additions toLethal Companyrecently, and fans are eager for some updates to the game.
Though still in Early Access,Lethal Companytook the gaming world by stormwhen it launched back in late 2023. The title gained popularity not only for its horrifying creatures and increasingly difficult gameplay, but due to the hilarity and hijinks that can occur when playing the game with friends. Zeekerss at one point professed feeling burned out on updating the game, moving much of his focus to upcoming work. However, that seems to have changed as of late.
On Twitter, Zeekerss revealed that a new creature is being added to the game, and it sounds as though it may be one of players' biggest threats yet. Not much has been said about it outside of a cryptic tweet, where Zeekerss stated that it might be the most powerful creature yet, and that its power “goes to its head.” They also noted that theLethal Companycreaturesometimes acts in ways that “make absolutely no sense, just because it can.” However, the developer has had nothing further to say about the particular creature, leaving his audience to conjure up ideas of what it might be like.
Lethal Company May Get More Monsters
While this particular creature being teased doesn’t have a release date, prior statements by Zeekerss may indicate that the game could be getting more than one new creature in the future. Back in April, Zeekerss teased that he was considering adding a “creature or two.” It’s not clear at this time whether the second creature has been scrapped, delayed, or if there will be a surprise waiting for players and theirco-op partnerswith the update.
While Zeekerss has added new content to the game previously, it seems that in this case, competition did the developer a little good. Zeekerss mentioned that he had recently been playingREPO, which has been regularly compared toLethal Companysince its launch.REPObears strong similarities toLethal Company, with both titles essentially being co-op survival horror games that task players with bringing back a set amount of loot from each location they visit. However, there’s also a considerable number of differences between the two, and it seems that time playingREPOgot the developer thinking about further updates toLethal Company, which he suggested would “be a little while” back in April. It’s not clear how much longer players will have to wait for an update, but something new - and dangerous - is on the horizon forLethal Company.
