While little to nothing is known about it, fans expect it to blow up even more than My Hero Academia, and for good reasons.
Horikoshi’s New Manga Plans Have Already Been Announced
My Hero Academia fans know very well that Kohei Horikoshi’s next manga is coming. Even before My Hero Academia ended, fans know very well that the author would drop more stories later down the line, be it a MHA sequel, or a completely new story. Horikoshi is still quite young and authors his age usually look to drop multiple stories. So, it isn’t a surprise at all to know thatHorikoshi wants to return to Jump as soon as possibleand has already begun working on his new manga. Horikoshi is repeatedly very intrigued by horror stories, so his new manga could have an element of it included. Here’s what Horikoshi has stated about his next manga previously:
I feel really lucky over the success of MHA, so I know there’s a lot of pressure around my next move. I’m planning to start a new manga as soon as I possibly can. I was thinking of committing myself to simply drawing my next project, and letting someone else write the story, but my editor advised me ‘It will be better if you do it all yourself.’ With that in mind, I’ve slowly started writing and drawing the thumbnails of my next manga. — Horikoshi

He already has a fanbase fromMy Hero Academiathat is loyal to him, and will most certainly go on to buy his new manga and patiently wait for it weekly. This in itself is a big boost for My Hero Academia.

Horikoshi Has More Experience
As a writer and artist, it is no surprise to know that Horikoshi has evolved over the years. Right now,Horikoshi should be at his very peak, which means that whatever he’s learned while writing and illustrating MHA will be incorporated into the new manga. Furthermore, Horikoshi will be wary of the mistakes he made with MHA and avoid making them in his new manga. At the end of the day, Horikoshi is very talented, and he is definitely going to deliver a fantastic manga, which might even surpass MHA.
The My Hero Academia manga was wrapped upby the mangaka, Horikoshi, in 2024. The story features 430 chapters for fans to read. All these chapters can be found on Manga Plus, as the story used to be serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump when it was still ongoing.
When it comes to the anime, this series is still awaiting its final season, which will be released later this year. The series can be watched on Crunchyroll.
