Despite still technically being an Early Access title,Phasmophobiahas been extremely popular since late 2020. Developer Kinetic Games has continued to improve the horror title with frequent content drops, keeping new and returning players interested over the course of several years. Even without a 1.0 release date in sight,Phasmophobiais undoubtedly one of thegames that has made the best use of Early Access.
In a blog post on itswebsite, Kinetic Games has confirmed thatPhasmophobia’s huge Chronicle update will launch on June 24, bringing tons of new content for players to enjoy. Photos are being overhauled, instead becoming “Media.” This will allow players to capture videos and audio of ghosts to earn more XP andmoney inPhasmophobia, offering new ways to capture evidence and complete investigations. Phasmophobia’s Chronicle Update Launches June 24
That’s not all. Kinetic Games also teased a significant rework of Grafton Farmhouse, a map that has been in the game for years now. This followsPhasmophobia’s rework of Bleasdale Farmhouseearlier this year, meaning 2025 will have seen a fresh coat of paint for two of its oldest maps when all is said and done. The work-in-progress images of the new-look Grafton Farmhouse are extremely impressive, with the studio claiming the map has been “overhauled from top to bottom.”
The Chronicle update is right in line withPhasmophobia’s 2025 roadmap, which was released earlier this year. Looking back at this, there’s still plenty to come this year, assuming Kinetic Games is still on schedule. There’s the player character overhaul, which could be argued to be long overdue forPhasmophobia. Perhaps a little more exciting is a new small map, due in the second half of 2025. The developer has yet to discuss details of the new map, so fans should keep an eye on that one.
