JUJUTSU KAISENseason 1 director Park Sunghoo’s original anime project,Bullet/Bullet, is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+, as the platform attempts to flesh out its collection of anime titles. After a decade in development, the brand-new high-stakes anime series is set to finally make its debut on July 16, forming part of an incredibly stacked Summer 2025 anime season. The series will run for 16 episodes split into two parts, with the first to arrive on the aforementioned date. The second part has been slated to premiere on August 13.

The series joins Disney+’s growing collection of APAC titles, alongsideBLEACH,BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War,Winter 2025’s hit ice skating anime Medalist, andTokyo Revengers.

Bullet/Bullet is an original net animation (ONA) created byGod of High SchoolandJUJUTSU KAISENseason 1 director Park Sunghoo, produced by Park’s own animation studio, E&H Production (Crunchyroll 2025 Best Original Anime Award winner,Ninja Kamui) and Gaga Corporation. Bullet/Bullet is set in a futuristic post-apocalyptic wasteland where the main characters, Gear, the gambler Shirokuma and the robot Qu-0213, run a business focused on returning stolen items to their owners. When a girl named Noa comes to their establishment requesting that they steal something for her, the gang find themselves embroiled in a situation that could potentially change the world as they know it. The main cast of Bullet/Bullet includes Armin Arlert voice actor Marina Inoue as Gear; Kazuhiro Yamaji as Shirokuma; three versions of Qu-0213: Nosa-ane voiced bylegendary tsundere voice actor Rie Kugimiya, Kau-ane voiced by Kana Hanazawa (“Angel”,Angel Beats), Naka-ani voiced by Tomokazu Seki (Gintoki,Gintama; Taro Sakamoto,SAKAMOTO DAYS), and Ei-baba voiced by Ai Orikasa; while Noa is voiced by Asami Seto (Chihaya Ayase,Chihayafuru).

As mentioned previously, series creator Park Sunghoo spent ten years drafting the story, and the anime will have Aki Kindaichi (series composition,Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray) writing the scripts and Takahiro Yoshimatsu (character design,Hunter x Hunter [2011]) designing the characters. Hidetaka Tenjin (mechanical designer, special effects,Hellsing: Ultimate) serves as concept and mechanical designer, while Shin Misawa (director,Capeta) aptly serves as “car action director”. The opening theme song is “Work Hard” by Chanmina, while the ending theme song is “Glass Door” by Newspeak.
