However, based on the events in the manhwa, something inside Jin-Woo is bound to break inSolo LevelingSeason 3. What could possibly happen to him that will change his life?
Jin-Woo has come a long way since he appeared in the first episode ofSolo Leveling. He experienced different kinds of pain, including betrayal, insult, and loss. Despite this, he has persevered, overcoming the challenges that come his way time and again. He did not let anything break him, except for the giant statues who mangled his once feeble body inside the Cartenon Temple.
What Could Possibly Break Jin-Woo in Season 3?
There’s No Turning Back
Sung Jin-Woo continues his winning streak inSolo Levelingever since he becamea player in the mysterious system. He consistently grows stronger, reaching higher levels, acquiring powerful shadows, and receiving significant rewards over and over again. At this point, it would be difficult for his enemies to stop him, as he continues to level up even during the fight.
InSolo Levelingseason 3, should the next installment cover the Double Dungeon story arc, Jin-Woo will encounter an opponent he never imagined could appear. He will meet the Architect, the creator of the system that has been steering his growth since day one. Many fans call him Kandiaru, since that name appeared on the blessing Jin-Woo received after completing the Courage of the Weak quest.
“You played around with a person’s life, so are you ready to face the consequences?"—Jin-Woo
During Jin-Woo and Kandiaru’s fight, the architect willnot allow Jin-Woo to use his shadows, including any class-specific skill. In addition, he will not be allowed to use potions, status recovery effects, or any other bonus rewards. This means that Jin-Woo’s hidden cards will be useless against Kandiaru and all the giant statues inside the Cartenon Temple.
While Jin-Woo is able to pull through, the system will show him the memories ofthe original Shadow Monarchand put him in a brief slumber. Upon seeing the war between the magical beasts and the silver beings unfold, something will change within Jin-Woo. A black heart will suddenly appear within his body, allowing him to break through his limits, gaining 100,000 mana points in an instant.
The Effects of Jin-Woo’s Black Heart
He Will Swallow the System
The Black Heart will allow Jin-Woo to come back stronger than ever, contrary to Kandiaru’s belief that his consciousness will fade due tothe Shadow Monarch’s ascent. This will confuse Kandiaru to the point that he will let his guard down, allowing Jin-Woo to swallow the entire system. Despite being the creator and designer of the system, Kandiaru will fail to regain access for good.
At this point, Jin-Woo will go on to kill Kandiaru’s temporary body. However, before Kandiaru turns into nothing, he will warn Jin-Woo that an unavoidable death will come and find him soon. This will be aturning point in Jin-Woo’s journey, as the Shadow Monarch’s memories foreshadow what’s about to happen in the real world. This will take a heavy toll on Jin-Woo’s well-being, as he keeps the burden only to himself.
“You should not be asking who I am; you should be asking what you are”—The Architect to Jin-Woo
What Will Happen Now?
War and Global Destruction
The Monarchs will soon learn about the Shadow Monarch’s unexpected betrayal. Ashborn was supposed to take over Jin-Woo’s body, but he decided to choose a human like Jin-Woo as his successor. Naturally, theMonarchs, especially Sillad and Rakan, will think of a new plan to kill Jin-Woo before he inherits the full power of the Shadow Monarch, all the while hunting vessels of the Rulers all over the world.
“When the pillars of fire are built to uphold the heavens, an inevitable death shall find you”—The Architect to Jin-Woo
Should Season 3 cover the Monarchs War arc, fans will witness how the Monarchs invade Seoul to lure out and kill Jin-Woo. However, killing Jin-Woo will not be easy, due to the Shadow Monarch’s abilities and the participation of the other hunters, who will fight and offer help, albeit with their limited abilities. For now, Solo Levelingseason 3 is expected to raise the stakes even further, as Jin-Woo continues his journey to the top. Powerful enemies, from Kandiaru to the Monarchs, will likely debut next season, acting as barriers to Jin-Woo’s goals.
