Concurrent Steam player counts for the recently released life simulation titleInZOImay be dropping, but publisher Krafton isn’t concerned. While Krafton’sThe Simscompetitor has lost a significant number of players on the platform,InZOIhas still seen incredible success since its early access launch, and planned updates will likely prompt many to return to the single-player title.

Released in late March,InZOIsurpassed one million sales in its first week, with the developers quickly taking to social media shortly after to thank players for their feedback and ongoing support. While there are countless life sims on the market, many believe thatInZOIis the first title to giveThe Simsa run for its money, with the recently released game boasting hyperrealistic graphics and untold levels of customization. As an early access launch, many features have yet to be added to the game, and players are eagerly awaiting any number of incoming updates to add even more content to the title.

While player feedback for the game has been largely positive,InZOI’s player count has been dropping, falling from a peak of over 87,000 players to only 9,000 in only three days in early April. The game’s 24-hour peak sits at only 1,477, prompting many to wonder if the title is in trouble. Publisher Krafton is unconcerned, however, as in an interview withIGN, the company stated thatInZOIis continuing to sell well. Additionally, the Korean company stated that sales are the best way to measure a single-player game’s success, rather than concurrent player numbers. “Early Access is only the beginning ofInZOI’s journey, and in many ways our work is just starting,” a spokesperson for Krafton stated. “During this phase, the team’s top priority is gathering player feedback and continuing the development of the game with more enhanced features, improved performance, and an overall immersive and engaging experience.”

InZOI’s Publisher Isn’t Worried About Slump in Steam Concurrent Player Counts

In late April,EA askedThe Simsplayers aboutInZOIin a survey, which included questions about how long users spent creating their character and whether they used the game’s clothing editor. WhileInZOI’s graphical capabilities have impressed fans and the title’s potential is certainly something to watch,The Sims 4currently has nothing to worry about when it comes to users, boasting over 28,000 players on Steam at the time of writing.

On June 13,InZOI’s first major updatewill arrive, bringing with it updates to the game’s relationship system, more customization options, UI adjustments, and more. Players will have more freedom when it comes to friendships and romantic relationships, and will be able to have children regardless of marital status.
