Invinciblewill at last be getting itself a major AAA gaming release in the form of Quarter Up’sInvincible VS, a 3v3 tag fighter.Invincible VShas immense potential for its roster, especially in the context of both the series' comic and hit show.

AfterInvincibleSeason 3took the internet by storm earlier this year, the clamor for anInvinciblegame reached a fever pitch once again. Fan demand for a game based on Image Comics' superhero deconstruction was notable before Amazon’s animated adaptation, but the show’s success only accelerated the excitement. This interest became even more pronounced whenInvincible: Guarding the Globewas announced, with some fans being disappointed by the title being a mobile RPG.

The Invincible Characters Who Should Make the Cut in Invincible VS

Quarter Up’sInvincible VSwill finally be answering this demand, offering a 3v3 tag fighter that’s coming out the gate with a range of characters from the franchise. The game’s trailer showcases some obvious heavy-hitters, such as Invincible himself, Omni-Man, Atom Eve, and Rex Splode, as well as more secondary/tertiary characters (like the Viltrumite lackeys Lucan and Thula, as well as Bulletproof—the Guardians of the Globe member with the least focus). This is an interesting spread to have shown off thus far, and it gives fans free rein to envision a wide variety of fan favorites in the roster.

Invincible’s Fan Favorites

Many of thefan-favoriteInvinciblecharactersinInvincibleare shoe-ins for the game, given their prominent role in some of the series' most pivotal moments. It’s hard to imagine a world where characters like Allen the Alien, Battle Beast and Conquest aren’t featured inInvincible VS, but it’d be exciting to see them nonetheless.

From Invincible War to Season 4, More Niche Picks

When it comes to more niche character picks, the Invicible War episodeof the show gave a quick spotlight to multiple fan-favorite characters, many of whom would be massive crowd-pleasers if featured withinInvincible VS. The most notable of these heroes would be Tech Jacket, whose alien power armor allowed them to kill an alternate Invincible in a 1v1. Best Tiger and Wolf-Man, who were also featured in the adaptation of the Invincible War, would also be welcome.

At a different end of the spectrum, the next season ofInvinciblelooks to be elevating Damien Darkblood, whose role was already greatly expanded in the show compared to the comic. WithInvincible VSlooking to line up more with the show than the comic (sharing voice actors and designs with the former), it would make sense for the 2026 release to not go much further in character content than the show’s fourth season, rather than relying on the comic’s totality. In a similar spirit, it would make sense for the newly-beloved Darkblood to have a chance at the roster, as would Titan—another character elevated to fandom popularity by the show.

Guest Characters for Invincible VS

Fighting games have been courting guest characters more and more, andInvincible VSwill likely be no exception. Marvel and DC cameos are certainly options, especially considering that Mark Grayson previously crossed over with Spider-Man in the comics. It would also make sense for aMortal Kombatcharacter to join the fun, since Omni-Man was recently featured in that series.

Perhaps the most important guest character, though, would be for Spawn to finally return to theInvincibleseries. Image Comics' most famous anti-hero was featured in the comic version of the Invincible War, but was absent from the show due to rights issues. If these issues could be resolved forInvincible VS, it would be a cause for celebration.
