Monster Train 2features five new clans, each of which has its own unique mechanics, cards, and artifacts. That is not the end of the story, though, as it is actually possible to unlock five clans from the previous game. More specifically, players can unlock the Hellhorned, Awoken, Stygian Guard, Umbra, and Melting Remnant inMonster Train 2, and this guide explains exactly how that is done.

How to Unlock Old Clans in Monster Train 2
Unlock Six Pyre Hearts
The first step towards unlocking the old clans inMonster Train 2isunlocking six Pyre Hearts. For full clarity, Pyre Hearts determine the stats and abilities of the pyre at the top of the train, and there are 13 of them in total.
With respect to how Pyre Hearts are unlocked, each one has its own requirements, from winning battles with trials, to winning aDimensional Challenge, and beyond. Players can check the unlock requirements for each Pyre Heart, and track their progress, by taking these actions:
While players should expect to unlock Pyre Hearts simply byplayingMonster Train 2, they could expedite the process by sticking to low Covenant Ranks and focusing specifically on fulfilling unlock requirements. Indeed, the majority of the Pyre Hearts can be obtained without ever winning a run or trying out higher levels of difficulty, and players will gain access to theHellhorned clanas soon as the sixth one is unlocked.
