Soulcalibur 2has a large roster of characters for players to choose from. Right from the beginning, you will have access to 15 characters in all modes ofthis fighting game. However, there are eight characters that are not available right away. If you want to have more characters to use when fighting against your friends, then you will want to load up Weapon Master Mode to unlock the remaining characters. Here are the stages in Weapon Master Mode that unlock characters inSoulcalibur 2.
Just like in the original GameCube version ofSoulcalibur 2, you will not be able to use Spawn or Heihachi on Switch 2, as they are still exclusive to Xbox and PlayStation 2 respectively.
How to Unlock All Characters in Soulcalibur 2
As mentioned earlier, there are eight characters inSoulcalibur 2that you will need to unlock before you can use them in the game. Even outside of Weapon Master mode, these characters cannot be used until you’ve unlocked them. The only way you can unlockall charactersinSoulcalibur 2is by completing stages of Weapon Master Mode.
Unlike Arcade or Time Attack mode, Weapon Master Mode is kind of like a story mode forSoulcalibur 2. You progress from stage to stage, occasionally having a choice of which stage to go to next. Regardless, you will have a variety of objectives, like defeating a bunch of opponents or hitting an opponent a certain number of times within the time limit. There will also be conditions that make the stage much more difficult, like a gust of wind that pushes you toward the edge of the arena.
All unavailable characters inSoulcalibur 2are unlocked through this mode, and here are the stages that reward you with a character upon completion.
Complete Chapter 6 - Stage 3 of Weapon Master Mode.
Lizardman
Complete every single stage of Weapon Master Mode, including extra stages/subchapters.
Assassin
Complete Subchapter 3 - Stage 3 of Weapon Master Mode.
Aside from characters, you can also unlock some additional modes, stages, and weapons by progressing through Weapon Master Mode. So, as you progress through this challenging mode, you will unlock a variety of rewards that can, in some cases, be used outside of Weapon Master Mode.
