How to Dodge Blue Shells in Mario Kart World
There are 3 ways in which players can dodge the Blue Shell inMario Kart World, and two of them require a specific item. The first way that players candodge a Blue Shell is by using a Mushroom. Once the Blue Shell has locked onto the player, wait for the Blue Shell to circle around you, and then just as it tilts up and prepares to crash down, use the Mushroom item toboost forward, which sees players zoom past the blast zone of the Blue Shell. This cannot be done througha drift turboor by wall riding.
The second way that players can dodge a Blue Shell is actually by destroying it.The Blue Shell can only be destroyed by the Super Horn item, and its shockwave range is good enough that players can use it as soon as the Blue Shell is above them, without having to wait for a unique animation.
The third way players can dodge a Blue Shell is by playing in single-player, as theRewind Functionwill allow players to rewind their placement on the track to avoid the Blue Shell. This method isn’t great, as it removes the momentum of the kart and sacrifices the player’s position, however, it doessave Gold Coinsfrom being lost.
