The world ofTainted Grail: The Fall of Avalonis packed with secret quests and hidden character interactions. Exploration is heavily rewarded, and if you’re the type of player who checks every nook and cranny, you’ll eventually stumble onto a secret romance path with a certain noble lady named Alisa.
You’ll also unlock a trophy/achievement and gain some unique rewards if you manage to romance Lady Alisa successfully. But that’s easier said than done. To unlock the romance option, you need to pick some specific dialogue options while interacting with her inTainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.
Romancing Alisa in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon
You’ll first encounter Alisa in The Village area behind the Horns of the South Keep during Act 1. Head to Ron’s Tavern, and you’ll find her sitting alone at an empty table. To romance her, you’ll need tocomplete a string of queststhat gradually build your relationship.
Triggering “The One Percent” Quest
When you speak with Alisa, she’ll mistake you for a waiter and ask for a clean glass. During the conversation, she’ll brag about being one of Kamelot’s most esteemed courtiers. If you comment on her dress, she’ll mention that she’s trying to blend in with the people of the South. Keep the conversation going, throw in some compliments, and eventually, she’ll mention needing help with an errand.
Choose the dialogue option “Just tell me what needs to be done.” This kicks off The One Percent quest, which tasks you with clearing out bandits from a seaside mansion that she wants to claim as her own.
Clearing the Manor for Alisa
Once the quest starts, the location of the Seaside Mansion will be marked on your map. The area is called Mansion by the Beach, located just west of the Abandoned Outpost. Travel there and take out the bandits occupying the grounds. Inside the Seaside Mansion, you’ll face a Disgraced Knight and a Deranged Infantryman.
Delivering the News to Alisa
Once the bandits are taken care of, return to Ron’s Tavern to report your success. This time, Alisa will be sitting with her husband, Duncan. When talking to her, be sure to choose the dialogue “It’s perfectly safe, Lady Alisa.” She’ll appreciate your courtesy, and the quest will wrap up with someXP as your reward.
Triggering “Farewell, Lady Alisa”
Now that the mansion is clear, Alisa will relocate there. Return to the Seaside Mansion, and you’ll find her standing near the door. Speaking with her starts a new quest called Farewell, Lady Alisa. She claims her husband has been kidnapped and asks for your help. Agree to assist.
Saving Duncan
Follow the quest marker to a location east of the King’s Road fast travel point. The area is swarming with Undead, so be prepared for a fight. Once cleared, enter the Miner’s Tunnels. Near the entrance, you’ll find Duncan sitting casually on a bench, completely unharmed.
It turns out he wasn’t kidnapped at all. He faked the entire thing to get away from Alisa. Duncan will then ask you to lie to Alisa for him. Agree to say that Duncan was eaten. He will give you Duncan’s Ring as proof of his death.
You’ll have the option to give him a healing potion, but it has no effect on the quest outcome.
Return to Alisa with Fake News
Head back to the mansion and talk to Alisa and lie to her about her husband’s death. After that, Alisa will talk about selling her house, and you’ll have to convince her to stay. Choose the dialogue option “You don’t need to sell your house. Why can’t you just stay here?” Convince her to stay by starting her own business. Agree to help her with the materials. She’ll agree to stay but will need some time to think. This will trigger the quest My Fair Lady.
Finding Materials for Alisa
The next part of the quest involves finding three items for Lady Alisa. You’ll need a Ragged Noblemen’s Doublet, a pair of Frayed Silk Gloves, and 12 Seashells. Thankfully, all of them are pretty easy to find.
For the first two materials, head back to the Miner’s Tunnels. You’ll see a couple of crates near the bench where Duncan was sitting earlier. You’ll find the clothing pieces in one of those crates.
The Seashells, on the other hand, drop from Drowners. Drowners are common enemies that spawn near beaches. Fast travel to any of those locations and farm Drowners until you have enough of them.
Delivering the Items
After gathering the materials, head back to Alisa. The first item that you need to deliver is the Ragged Nobleman’s Doublet. She will offer you some payment for your services. Choose the dialogue option “No Need. I’m doing this to help you.” She’ll thank you for your troubles. Deliver the other two items by talking to her two more times.
If Alisa doesn’t accept the items immediately, rest at a campand try again.
When delivering the Seashells, she’ll call them the most humble yet precious gift she’s received. Choose the dialogue “I always listen to you, Alisa.” Then, offer to go somewhere together.
Repairing the Pavilion
Next, you’ll have to repair the deck outside her house. Similar to thedeck repair task in The Village, this will cost you Wood. If you’re short, you may gather more from the Horns of the South keep. Once that’s done, speak to Alisa to let her know you’ve prepared for the outing. She’ll agree to go on a date with you.
Answering the Pavilion Questions
This is the most critical part of the questline, requiring you to hold a conversation with Alisa that impresses her. Here are the dialogue options that you should choose to lead to a successful romance with the character:
The date will end with her saying she’d like to do this again sometime.
Revisiting Alisa
Go inside the mansion and talk to Alisa. She’ll say she has a gift that she designed just for you. Choose “Alisa, Is this a Courting Gift?” If you managed to answer all the questions properly in the earlier section, she will say that she has grown fond of you, and the Yours Forever achievement/trophy will unlock.
Choose the option “Alisa, are you blushing?” Next, choose “I thought love was beneath you.” For the last dialogue choice, go with “I’ve grown rather fond of you too, Alisa.” Some time will pass, and she will ask you to help her redecorate the area around her house if you choose to stay with her, triggering the quest Stone by Stone. She’ll also start referring to you as darling the next time you visit her.
If you choose the wrong answers during the Pavilion section, she will say that she sees you only as a friend.
7.0 Armor
Increases Attack Speed by 10%
On top of the Cuirass,Weapon, and Armor Relics, you can also visit Alisa from time to time and say you missed her to get a Silver Signet Ring that youcan sell for gold. Romancing Alisa is one of the more difficult tasks inTainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. However, the rewards you get for it make it well worth the effort.
