Origin Potion Locations in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Unlike a lot of other consumables, Origin Potions cannot be crafted. The only way to obtain them is to find them in certain fixed locations or buy them from select vendors. Origin Potions sold by merchants do not restock, and the ones found in containers do not respawn. This means there is a limited number of Origin Potions in any given world, and once used, they disappear forever.

Island Asylum (Starting Island)

On the Island Asylum, you’ll find Brother Cassian locked in a cell accessible from a crawl space near your own cell. Directly across from him is another locked jail cell with the Origin Potion sitting on a table.

After you leave the Island Asylum with Caradoc, you will not be able to return.

Sunken Village

West of the Sunken Village is a Druidic Shrine. A narrow path between two mountains is just to its south. Follow the path to find a Keeper’s corpse with an Origin Potion on it.

Horns of the South Dungeon

Talk to an NPC named Goban in the Village (Daragh’s Father) behind the Horns of the South Fort. Exhaust all his dialogue options by continuously giving him more and more Alcohol (5 bottles), and you will unlock the quest “All Along the Watchtower.” Talk to the Fort Quartermaster, Fearghas, and get a key to the dungeons. Follow the quest marker to locate the dungeon entrance and enter. Defeat the undead and descend to the third floor. Look for a jail cell occupied by a Wyrdslime. The Origin Potion can be found in the locked Reinforced Chest behind it.

Jann Heber

The local doctor of Horns of the South, Jann Heber, has an Origin Potion for sale. you’re able to find him in Jann’s Quarters, directly next to the player stash. The default price for the Origin Potion is 1500 gold.

Blood Lake

North of the beach is a large, blood-red lake with a large statue in the middle. Dive into the water and you’ll find a submerged door leading to a dungeon named Blood Lake. Enter the dungeon and defeat Mallory, the NPC by the door. Explore the dungeon until you meet Prydwen, the original creator of the “Garden.” Turn south, and you’ll see a small path leading to a small cave. Follow the path and defeat the Marrowghast in the area. Behind it, there is a locked chest with an Origin Potion, the Hexbounce Wand, and a recipe book.

Eckheart’s Cave

North of the Ancient Cromlech, at the northernmost part of the map, is the Shrine of the Bear. To its left is the entrance to Eckheart’s Cave. Enter the cave and defeat the bandits who’ve made it their hideout. The Origin Potion can be found in a locked chest next to his body.

The Mourning Harpist

Just north of the Cuanach main gate lies The Harpist’s Tomb, divided into two areas: one that can be accessed at night and another that can be accessed in the morning. The Origin Potion is located in a chest in the area that can be explored during the daytime. This is also where youstart the Broken Strings quest.

The Mourning Harpist area only becomes accessible in Act 2, after players havechosen a side between Galahad and One-Eyeand gathered the second fragment of King Arthur’s soul.
