When players start playing Toby Fox’sDeltatunefor the first time, they might be confused as to why the game is booted up on PC with a minimized window. There’s seemingly no way tomakeDeltarunefullscreenat the start, but there actually is a super-easy way to fix that, but you just might have to play for a couple of minutes first. Luckily,Deltarune(andUndertale) areverygood video games, so spending time with them is not a hard ask.
How to Play Deltarune in Fullscreen
You Can’t Do It From the Start Menu
So, to get right to it,you won’t be able to changeDeltaruneinto full-screen mode until you play for about 10-15 minutes or so. You need to complete the opening of the game before it gives you total access to theConfigurationmenu.
You will start the game in your bedroom, and then you’ll need to go to school and watch a couple of “cutscenes.” Eventually, you will meet aDeltarunecharacter named Susieand the two of you will go get chalk for the teacher, only to end up in a very strange place. Once you get to this strange place, you can finally open the real menu with theY button on Xbox, CTRL key on PC, Triangle on PlayStation, and X on Switch.
Head to the far-right side of the menu to enter Config, which is where you will find the following options:
Of course, to makeDeltarunerun in complete fullscreen, simply toggle the Fullscreen option, and then back out of the menu to get back into your game. In the pause menu, you’ll also be able to check out our party’s stats, weapons, spells, key items, and more, so don’t be afraid to check it out occasionally to get your bearings.
