The progression system inFBC: Firebreakis pretty straightforward — it uses a traditional XP system for leveling up, and if you’ve played other co-op shooters before, this should feel very familiar to you, for better or worse. Simply killing the Hiss isn’t enough to level you up, which means you’ll have to do a lot of jobs if you want to progress your character quickly.
Every job inFBC: Firebreakfeatures its own unique challenges, and while completing long jobs can be very rewarding, speed running the ones that can be finished quickly can be just as good for players who just want to level up. Here’s one quick way to level up fast inFBC: Firebreak.
Best Way to Level Up in FBC: Firebreak
If XP is the only thing you’re concerned about, then we strongly recommenddoing Hot Fix on Clearance 1. Runs can last foras short as three minutes, depending on the difficulty you pick andhow efficient your playstyle is, and if you find a group of people to play with, then the job will finish even faster.
Loadout Recommendation
You can do this method solo very easily, but for that, we recommend the following loadout:
Using theJump Kitis the fastest way to charge generators, and that’s what you’ll be doing most of the time while doing Zone 1 of Hot Fix. If you’d rather fix breaker boards fast, take the Fix Kit, though taking time to fix breakers manually while using the Jump Kit is often more worth it.
Crisis Kits level up independently of each other. If you want to level up a specific Crisis kit, you need to use it.
Big guns are usually the go-to inother co-op shootersin this style, but here, theRevolveris the best for solo players, especially in Hot Fix’s first zone. It is arguably the most versatile weapon in the game — despite having only six bullets in the cylinder, its shots penetrate through basic enemies, and it deals excellent damage against heavy targets. If a heavy or a Powerful Hiss spawns during run, you can just walk up to it and unload your Revolver onto its face.
TheEpoxy Grenadeis great for taking down those heavily-armored, hammer-wielding Hiss. These grenades explode on contact, and they can one-shot Hiss Breakers witha perfectly-aimed grenade behind their legs. You’ll miss out on area damage, but overall, you should be better off with the Epoxy Grenade than the regular Gunpowder Grenade.
