Upon reaching the Vermilius Gap, players will stop seeing too much Copper and start collecting Iron Ore inDune: Awakening. The latter is used to make Iron Ingots, which are the primary material for crafting some great tools in the game.

How To Get Iron Ore In Dune: Awakening

Iron Ore is mainly located in the Vermilius Gap, which is the area north of Hagga Basin South inDune: Awakening.Similar to Copper, Iron Ore can also be found all over the area where players need to scan the rock with a Cutteray and destroy it to get the ores. However,make sure that the Cutteray has the ability to cut Iron Ores, otherwise, you won’t be able to collect materials. Some of the Cutterays players can use are Cutteray Mk1, Sim’s Cutteray, and Olef’s Quickcutter.

Once you arrive at the Vermilius Gap, try to use the Survey Probe Launcher to scan the map quickly and unlock areas of interest. you may then open the map and zoom in to see every resource location, including Iron Ores. Additionally,you can check out Scavenger’s Camps and Outpoststo collect some Iron from chests, and sometimes enemies' bodies.

Iron Ore can be transformed from raw materials into Iron Ingots using the Ore Refinery inDune: Awakening. After progressing through the main quests, you will eventually unlock the Small Ore Refinery after researching it. Place it in your base andput Iron Ore and Water to create Iron Ingots.
