Dune Awakeningputs players right in the middle of Arrakis, ascorching hot planet inhabited by Sandworms. While you’ll need to salvage materials from the world to progress through the game, water remains one of the most important resources for survival. If the water runs out, the character will feel parched and get hit with several debuffs that will make journeying through Hagga Basin a lot tougher. So, here’s how you can quench your thirst and store water inDune Awakening.
Drinking from Dew of Saplings
One of the starting ways to quench your thirst in the scorching-hot region of Hagga Basin isdrinking the dew of saplingsinDune Awakening. When players start the game, they’ll be introduced to the water accumulation mechanic and also be told to look for a field of flowers to replenish the water level.
Although there are several patches of flower saplings scattered around the area, it isn’t the most optimal method, as drinking the saplings' dewonly refills one-third of the water gauge.
How to Use Blood Purifiers to Get Water in Dune Awakening
After progressing a little further into the starting section of Dune Awakening, players will beintroduced to Blood Extractor. This tool can be used to extract blood from fallen enemies and store it in Blood Pouches. This accumulated blood can later be used in a Blood Purifier to convert it into water.
Players can stock up on multiple Blood Pouches to collect a large amount of blood from enemies, and then later deposit up to 6000 ml in a Blood Purifier to slowly convert it into water (~5 ml/sec). Once water accumulates in a Blood Purifier, players can eitherdrink it from the machine or extract it inside a Literjonto drinklater.
Unlocking Windtraps and Dew Reapers
At mid-to-late game, players will unlockadvanced tools like the Dew Reaper and Windtraps, which will make water collection much easier. The Dew Reapers will allow players to extract dew from flower saplings and store it in their Literjon for later consumption. This is highly effective if done right before dawn, when the flowers emit a light-blue glow.
On the other hand, Windtraps are installed at your base and willconvert the moisture from the wind into drinkable water. This water will be stored in water containers that will need to be installed inside your base too inDune Awakening.
