Plasteel Microflora Fiber is a miscellaneous component needed for a lot of armor fabrication schematics inDune: Awakening. Players in dire need of a gear upgrade will want to know exactly where to find this item at all stages of the game.

Unlike ores like Copper and Iron, Plasteel Microflora Fiber cannot be found in the wild; it can only be obtained from certain chests in the game world, the locations of which are fixed. Here’s where to look.

How to Get Plasteel Microflora Fiber in Dune: Awakening

Plasteel Microflora Fiber can only be found in Shipwrecks and other Great House Ruinson Arrakis. In Hagga Basin South (starting area), the only Shipwreck is the Wreck of the Alcyon, east of the Griffin’s Reach Tradepost, on top of a giant sand mound that’s visible from miles away (location marked above).

The journey to the shipwreck is a long one. Make sure tobring a Sandbike.

There are only three chests in the Wreck of the Alcyon that contain Plasteel Microflora Fiber. They are:

The room with Chest #2 also contains a container with a Holtzman Amplifier, a material needed to complete a contract, “Wrecking Crew.”

After obtaining Plasteel Microflora Fiber from shipwrecks, you may still find yourself needing more. Since this item only spawns in one location and is needed for multiple crafting recipes, there is often too little to go around.

Fortunately, this resource, like a lot of others inDune: Awakening, respawns periodically (roughly 45 minutes). You can revisit the same chests over and over and keep collecting more Plasteel Microflora Fiber as long as enough time has passed.

The easiest way to identify chests at a glance is to look for a neon blue glow in the dark. In filled chests, this glow is bright, but when the chest is looted, it becomes dim.
