Speaking of rewards,Fortniteplayers can earn a range of unique items completely for free. While many of theserewards are tied to Ranked Questsand other seasonal events, Twitch users have a special opportunity to claim exclusive items for free—but only for a limited time. Here’show players can get their hands on the Galactic Battle Twitch Drop Items inFortnite.
How To Link Twitch & Epic Games Accounts
Before users can begin claiming their free Twitch Drop items inFortnite, they’ll first need tolink their Twitch and Epic Games accounts, if they haven’t already. Here’s a quick breakdown of how to do it:
How To Claim Free Galactic Battle Twitch Drop Items In Fortnite
A roster of free Twitch Drop items will be available forFortniteplayers starting May 29, just by tuning into their favorite Twitch streamers. However, unlike previous Twitch Drops, viewers will need to interact with the stream to earn rewards. To get started, head to any stream withintheFortnitecategory on Twitchthat hasthe “Galactic Battle” Twitch Extension enabled.
Once there, users will see a widget that allows them to participate by clicking “Grant Access”. Doing so will reward them with theDarth Jar Jar Emoticoncompletely for free. While watching the stream, players must alsobe on the lookout for various itemsthat will appear on-screen at random intervals.
Players will need tocollect 12 total unique items in the streamto earn 5Star Wars-themed Sprays. The items themselves are simply collected by clicking on them as they appear, and all collected items can be tracked via theFortniteExtension, brought up by clicking theFortniteicon on the left side of the screen.
During the stream, creators can choose to trigger a Takeover, which disables the ability to collect and track items. During this time, users can spam theDarthJarJar Emotein the Twitch channel’s chat to beat the Takeover. Once it’s completed, players can go back to collecting items as usual.
That’s not all, as there’s one more reward: theGalactic War Loading Screen.This will be unlocked for the entire community of that stream once ashared milestone of items claimed is reached.Once that goal has been reached, anyone who has claimed at least one reward (excluding the Darth Jar Jar Emoticon) will automatically receive the Galactic Battle Loading Screen in-game.
Upon claiming any reward, whether it be a Spray or the Darth Jar Jar Emoticon, players should receive said reward inFortnitenext time they log in. However, this can take up to 30 days in some circumstances. The Galactic Battle Twitch Drop items are also only available to claim for a limited time until June 7, and may return to the Item Shop at a later date.
