How To Get Bombs In Wind Waker
The Default Bomb Bag Holds Up To 30 Bombs
Link will not be able to use Bombs until he completes the Forbidden Forest dungeon and is tasked to find Jabun to get the third Goddess Orb. When you return to Windfall Island as part of this quest, sneak into the rear entrance of the Bomb Shop (accessible via a secret path on the west side of the building), and eavesdrop on the pirates as they rob the merchant.
Then,use the Deku Leaf to glideonto the docked pirate ship, and make your way below decks to get to Niko. Once again, Niko will offer you a challenge in exchange for a reward. Complete his platforming minigame once again, and he will be forced to give you the Bomb Bag as a reward. This default, basic version of the Bomb Bag can carry up to 30 total bombs.
Wind Waker Bigger Bomb Bag Location
The First Bomb Bag Upgrade Holds Up To 60 Bombs
The first Bomb Bag upgrade, and the one closest to Windfall Island, is at the Eastern Fairy Island. On the map of the Great Sea, this can be found diagonallysoutheast of Windfall Island on square E-3.
Sail to this location, then place a bomb at the entrance to the Great Fairy Fountain at the mouth of the large shell. This will blow up the boulder blocking your way inside. Enter the Fairy Fountain and talk to the Great Fairy to get the Bigger Bomb Bag, which can carry up to 60 total Bombs – double the normal amount.
Whenever you go into a Great Fairy Fountain, ensure that you have at least one empty Bottle in your inventory. There are always a few Fairies floating about in these areas, which you may grab with a Bottle. Fairies fully restore your Hearts when used, but they are also automatically consumed if you reach 0 Hearts.
Wind Waker Biggest Bomb Bag Location
The Second Bomb Bag Upgrade Holds Up To 99 Bombs
The second Bomb Bag upgrade is a bit further away from Windfall Island, but there is a fast way to get there.Head to Southern Fairy Island at square D-6, or exactly five squares to the south of Windfall Island. Youcan also play the Ballad of Galesand teleport directly to this square as one of the nine available Fast Travel points.
You will find another Great Fairy Fountain inside a large shell, but once again, it’s blocked by a destructible object. Instead of a boulder, this time the way in is blocked by wooden boards. You can either place a bomb down to destroy it, or fire a Fire Arrow (if unlocked) to burn the wood away.
Talk to the Great Fairy within to get the Biggest Bomb Bag, which can carry a huge 99 bombs, more than three times the amount of the default bag.
