There are all sorts of secrets to discover inDeltaruneChapter 3, but most of them are locked behind a special door that requires you to earn an S-rank on each round of Tenna’s TV Time game show. There are more than enough ways to rack up the necessary amount of points for an S-rank in each round ofDeltaruneChapter 3, but it’s easy to miss some of the optional activities that reward you with bonus points.
Tenna’s TV Time game show places players into aZelda-style minigame with multiple screens to explore, and you’ll have to solve puzzles and answer quiz questions along the way. You only get one shot per round to get an S-rank, but thankfully, the game lets you freely explore for as long as you want. If you know how tofarm points, you can easily earn an S-rank no matter how poorly you perform in battle.
How to Get an S-Rank on Tenna’s Game Show in Deltarune
To get an S-rank on a round of Tenna’s TV Time game show inDeltaruneChapter 3, you need toscore a minimum of 1500 points. Any points over the 1500 requirement won’t count toward the next round’s ranking, so make sure to keep track of how many points you walk away with after each round. You need these S-ranks to get theIce Keyand other secret items, so it’s more than worth the effort.
Increase the Amount of TP You Earn
For both rounds, there are a few things to keep in mind if you want to maximize your score. Firstly, points awarded from battles are determined by the amount ofTPyou generate and the number of hits you take. If you tellKris, Susie, or Ralseito defend on their turn, they’ll fill up a huge chunk of the TP bar. As long as the bar climbs over the small white line near the top, you’ll get an S-rank for TP in that battle. Your overall battle ranking will average your TP rank plus the rank you receive for dodging hits, so you can still end up with an A-rank or lower if you take a lot of damage during a battle even though the TP bar is filled.
Answer Quiz Questions Correctly
The second most important contribution for an S-rank score isanswering quiz questions correctly. Tenna will ask you a bunch of rapid-fire questions, andgetting them wrong will forfeit a huge chunk of pointsrequired to earn an S-rank. Make sure you know the answers before starting one of the quizzes.
The first round is the hardest to get an S-rank on since there aren’t many opportunities to farm points after you complete the main objectives. During round one, you can earn some bonus points by collecting all four keys instead of just the three required to progress. Also, make sure togive Susie time to pick up and toss any jars you come across. They contain coins that reward you with bonus points.
Take Lots of Enemy Photos in Round 2
In round two, there’s an exploit you’re able to take advantage of to farm unlimited points. Snapping photos of enemies with the camera will net you a few points, but some enemies respawn endlessly. Find a screen with an enemy that pops out of a tree, then walk off and on screen over and over again so you cankeep taking pictures. Repeat the process until you’ve crossed the 1500-point threshold.
If you miss an S-rank, you canbuy an S-rank for 1500 pointsfrom the character at the south end of theGreen Roomin between rounds. You shouldn’t rely on this NPC for S-ranks, but it’s a life-saver if you find yourself just a few points short of the requirement. If you want to get the Ice Key and other items needed to fightDeltaruneChapter 3’s secret boss, you’ll need those S-ranks.
