With over 300 armor to choose from, you’ll have more than enough equipment for your character and your party members inFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. InFantasy Life i, there are nine categories of armor. While you can purchase armor from Armories or Marco’s Shop, you’ll want to forge your own gear to guarantee higher defense, magic defense, and potential skills.
Guide will be updated and adjusted as progress is made in-game. Will include late-game spoilers.

Where to Find All Armor
Each time you start a Life, you’ll unlock armor pertaining to that Life. When you reach Adept rank of any Life, you’ll receive a new set of armor. Finally, you’ll get rare-tier armor/clothing when you reach Master rank. You’ll also unlock the crafting recipes, allowing you tomake Life-themed gear from scratch.
Below is a list of all the armor and how to unlock their crafting recipes. Armor is split intonine categoriesinFantasy Life i, allowing you to potentially equip 8-9 pieces per Life.
Head
Armor that uses the Head slot on your Equipment menu. While most of these are hats and helms,you may get an accessorysuch as the White Cat Ears or hair ornaments.
You may get an armor drop from clearing the rubble at your Base Camp. Clearing rubble requires the help of Strangelings, which you can restore to their normal form at the Goddess Statue.

Cape armor also includes backpacks, wings, and scarves.
Armory on Tropica Isles
Body/Dress
Certain Body armor is classified as Dress, meaning it takes up both the Body/Dress and the Legs equipment slot. Equipping armor in the Legs category will remove your equipped Dress armor.
The Hands armor category includesgauntlets, gloves, and even bangles.
Legs
Leg armor can be leggings or greaves, and they can’t be worn with Dress armor. Depending on the crafting recipe, you’ll likely need the help of the Blacksmith or Tailor Life.

Accessories
Accessories and Specs are types of armor that usually provide you with unique skills such as Exp 5% gain. All Accessories and Specs are crafted with the Alchemy Life. You’ll get most of them by ranking up your Alchemist Life, but you’ll also want to browse armories in Reveria to get crafting recipes.

Shield
Shields are a special type of armor in that they can only beequipped by the Paladin Life. Any buddies with the Paladin Life can also wear shields. You’ll want to equip a shield with good stats and skills since it can block enemy attacks in combat.
Keep in mind that shields won’t nullify incoming damage entirely. You may still take 1 point of damage from a low-level enemy when guarding with your shield.
