Just like the other chapters, you can find secret bosses in Chapter 4Deltaruneas well, which is locked behind a set of puzzles. So, here’s a detailed guide on how you can find the Hammer of Justice secret boss and beat him inDeltaruneChapter 4.
How To Find Hammer Of Justice Secret Boss
Similar to other secret bosses, you can find the Hammer of Justice Secret Boss onlyafter you complete the Golden Piano puzzle. You’ll need to find three sheets of music and play them on the piano to solve the puzzle. After you successfully play the whole song,you’ll find the Hammer of Justice Secret Boss.So, here’s how you can do it.
Get The Ability To Climb
Before you do anything, you need to get the ability to climb. You need to progress through the story as normal, and eventually you will encounter the Jackenstein boss.You need to defeat him to get Claimb Claws, which gives you the ability to climb. Now,you can head back to the Study Room by climbing. Once here, you’ll need to go to three locations to find three sheets of music.
Music Sheet 1 Location
Thefirst music sheet is in the room with the waterfall and the donation box. You can find it behind the water. However, if you have completed the sanctuary, you need to go back to aprevious save to get this music sheet.
Music Sheet 2 Location
You canfind music sheet 2 in the dark area where you see “Jockington grows a beard.”You need to head towards the upper-left corner and find a climbable wall. Climb the wall and you’ll find the second music sheet hiding there.
Music Sheet 3 Location
Thethird music sheet is near the Tea Room. You need to return to the Study Room. From this area, walk backwards until you find a side path. Head down the path to get the third music sheet.
Go To The Golden Piano
Once you have collected all the music sheets,go back to the Golden Piano and play the complete music. After you play the music, you can climb down and find the Magic Axe when yougo through the door with a Hammer Sign in the Study Room.
Fight The Hammer Of Justice Boss
If you interact with the Magic Axe, the old man will appear. A series of dialogues will be triggered, andthe old man will say that the Magic Axe is not free, and you need to pay. Once you check the price tag, you’ll know that you cannot pay for the Magic Axe. The old man will offer the item for free if you beat his challenge.
If you accept the challenge,the old man will transform into the Hammer of Justice Secret Boss. You’ll need to fight the boss with only Susie and mainly depend on your Rude Buster to beat the boss.
How To Beat Hammer Of Justice Secret Boss
Whenever you use Rude Buster on Susie, you’ll start playing a minigame with the Hammer of Justice.You’ll have to block all the arrows with the axe to be able to attack. His attacks will start to get stronger, and you’ll also have to block falling hammers using the axe.
If any of the attacks hit the heart inside the box,you’ll take high damage. So, keep dodging his attacks inside the box in the minigame. The Hammer of Justice will also parry your Rude Buster, and you need to parry it back with the correct timing. If you keep parrying,the boss will miss eventually, and you’ll deal damage to the Hammer of Justice.
Reward For Beating Hammer Of Justice Secret Boss
If you are able to successfully beat theHammer of Justice secret boss,he will let you take the Justice Axe. Along with it, he will also give you the Shadow Crystal.He would say, “The truth is, I was gonna give you it all if you beat me or not.”
However, if you are not able to beat the Hammer of Justice with Susie,she will refuse to take the rewards and ask for a rematch instead. So, you may only get the Justice Axe and the Shadow Crystal if you win the fight.
At the end of the fight, there will be a conversation between the old man and Susie.He will tell the old story of the Lord of the Hammer. Susie will ask why the old man would help her so much. To which, the old man would respond that Susie reminded him of the Dragon in the story.Thereafter, the cutscene ends, and you will find both items in your Inventory.
