Where to Find the Watercooler in Deltarune Chapter 3 and Chapter 4

Beware the Watercooler!

The Watercooler can first be found inside the C-rank room within the Green Room during Chapter 3. This can be accessed in between the rounds of the game show that Kris, Susie, and Ralsei have been forced to partake in by Mr. Ant Tenna.

It’ll then show up again in Chapter 3, not long after fighting Shadowguy and the two Pippins. Players will then need to navigate some spotlights in a stealth section and head through a room full of garbage cans.

After this, they’ll have to avoid another set of spotlights, where they’ll find a door they can head through, leading north.Head inside, and the Watercooler will be waiting for you (with a chest!). Don’t want to battle it? Tough, head back outside, and there will be another two Watercoolers waiting for you.

Keep going in and out of the door here to watch an increasing number of Watercoolers menacingly encroach on your position until you’re forced to interact and battle one of them.

It can also be found in Chapter 4. The first time is whenyou’re climbing the walland the water is falling on you, not long afteryou’ve beaten the Jackenstein boss. After doing the first climbing section upwards, make your way up the second section into the upper left corner where you’ll find a large wooden container of water.Interact with the container to get some humorous dialogue and begin to walk off, only for the Watercooler to ambush you once again.

There is a lesser appearance in Chapter 4 as you won’t actually fight it, but it comes not long after the Chapter 4 encounter with it. Once you’ve found the large organ, head right, and you’ll find a ton of Watercoolers dotted around that Mizzles will jump out of as you pass them.

Why Are There So Many Watercoolers in Deltarune?

Classic Toby

The recurring presence of the Watercooler boss fight is just typical Toby Fox humor. Many of the characters inDeltaruneare dripping with personality and humor, and the Watercooler is merely a funny, recurring joke that fits in with the stylistic tone of the world.

It’s become a bit of a fan-favorite character, thanks to its iconic limited vocabulary of words like “boble,” “buble,” “babie,” and “bubie,” to name a few.

How to Beat the Watercooler in Deltarune

Play it Cool

The Watercooler can be easily beaten by constantly using the ‘Act Cool’ act. This will raise its Mercy meter quickly. Once you’ve maxed out its Mercy meter, you can choose to spare it, and it’ll be recruited.

I’d also recommend using the Flirt option on it at least once to hear some terrible water-related one-liners and see the Watercooler blush a lovely pink color.

Its attack will see raindrops come in from different angles that will merge to form a huge ball of water in the center of the screen. You’ll need to avoid the waterdrops and the growing ball of water to avoid taking damage. The Watercooler can also do a slight variation of this attack where the ball of water moves left and right, so verify you’re prepared for this.
