As one of the first major threats you’ll face inFive Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, Jackie is a creepy and highly mobile clown whose only initial weakness is being attached to her box. Once she tears free early in her first encounter, however, you end up in a frantic chase through walkways, vents, and maintenance corridors as she lunges after you with her extending arms. While the path you need to take is fairly linear, there are a few spots where it’s terrifyingly easy to get killed, which this guide will do its best to help out with.
Jackie is one of the most prominent animatronics in the prerelease material shown forFive Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, a Jack in the Box Animatronic you’ll initially encounter while exploring the second floor of Murray’s Costume Manor. If you want to get Repair Permissions for your Data Diver and escape with your life, you’ll have to deal with Jackie, whose initial lack of mobility is quickly circumvented once she is freed of her box. Her long arms make her excellent at climbing and allow her to lunge across long distances with an unnerving speed. Her skill at climbing also means that she can follow you even through long drops, while her size and nimbleness allow her to easily navigate the Manor’s vents and maintenance hallways without difficulty.

How to Get into the Manager’s Office in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic
After taking the elevator up to the second floor, the first order of business is finding a way to get the gate to open. There’s a slot for a crank nearby, but no crank to put in it.Before you continue, turn left and head down a side passage to find a room that you may access with your security permissions. This appears to be a break room or lounge, and it houses a machine for upgrading your Data Diver permissions.
Using this machine will upgrade your permissions, giving you Repair Access. This will be useful later, but for now, you should turn around and open the present, retrieving a Hedgehog Mask collectible you can stash in the Inventory nearby. Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to double back to the room with the gate and look for a broken wall, which you can walk through to reach a colorful room containing Jackie’s Box.

Before opening Jackie’s Box, you should investigate the prop castle to the left of it.By crouching, you can get inside through the door, reaching a present that contains a Fallfest Snowglobe. Take this back to the inventory in the lounge before you continue. Now it’s time to open Jackie’s Box. After turning the crank, Jackie will pop out, but she’s harmless for now. The crank breaks off in your hand, so you can take it back to the gate from earlier to open it.
Head down the hall and, using the Repair Permissions you got earlier, your Data Diver can open the door to the Manager’s Office. This is where Digityper can be found, repeating a looping script about delivering messages and only pausing briefly to greet you as you enter the room. There’s a generator in the corner that requires you to walk up a ramp, meaning that approaching it will trap you for a short time. Despite this, you’ll need to go over and start that generator to proceed, at which point Jackie will break into the room. After quite a bit of flailing around and battering poor Digityper, Jackie will turn back to you, breaking a hole in the wall and knocking away the obstruction trapping you in place.

Jump through the hole in the wall immediately to avoid a game over from Jackie’s attack. Don’t do what I did on my first playthrough and attempt to run past her and through the door, since it’ll just get you killed faster and the door the generator was supposed to open is still shut, regardless.
How to Escape Jackie in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic
Now that you’re down here, you’ll have to traverse a fairly linear series of tight corridors and crawlspaces while Jackie taunts you.Since she can’t actually attack you for this part, it’s fine to take your time until you reach the section shown in image 2, above. Jackie is lying in wait here, ready to start another frantic chase sequence. Once you ride the elevator, Jackie will appear, and you’ve got no choice but to run out of the elevator and immediately break right. If you take too long, Jackie will catch you immediately. Despite her arms often reaching over and ahead of you, as long as you move quickly she won’t actually be able to grab you with them.
Sprint along the walkways, along a linear path, and when you reach the stair section shown in the first image (above), make sure you stick to the left to avoid getting grabbed by Jackie as you run past. Keep sprinting away, across the walkways and into another set of hallways, until you reach a crawlspace you can enter. Pull the switch next to the closed gate to open it and progress further through the crawl space.

After passing through the first gate, you’ll need to pull the switch on your right to open the next, then move around and through the second gate. The switch for the third gate is on the left, halfway through the next section of crawlspace between two large pipes, so pull it on your way and don’t worry about Jackie, you’ve got plenty of time. This last gate leads into a vent and then out into a room with a door straight ahead, which has a switch to the right of it. As you approach, Jackie will drop from the ceiling in the room beyond that door,so quickly pull the switch to trap her under the door, and then turn around to find a generator.
You’ll need to activate this generator to clear the way to a vent nearby, which you’re able to then crawl through to continue your escape. At one point, part of the vent will give out underneath you, dropping you into a new section, but there’s still only one way to go. This will lead to Jackie cornering you in the vents, before the vent collapses and drops both of you into the darkness. Against all odds, it seems you’ve fallen right back into the security office from earlier, so you can check in with Dispatch and not worry too much about where Jackie ended up. A glance upward will show that somehow you punched through the ceiling of the office when you fell.
