InFBC: Firebreak, players will be doing all sorts of jobs throughout the Oldest House, and if you’re doing jobs with active Corruption levels, you’re guaranteed to run into some Corrupted objects. These cursed items will hamper your team in a variety of ways — some are pretty tame, while others can be absolutely brutal.
Corrupted items are essentiallyFBC: Firebreak’sway of adding match modifiers. However, unlike in other co-op shooters, these modifiers can be disabled during the matches themselves, giving players more agency over how they play the game.Firebreakdoesn’t tell players how they can do this, though, so here’s a guide to help with that.
How to Destroy Corrupted Items in FBC: Firebreak
In order to take a Corrupted item down,you’ll need to get a Black Rock gun from an active Ammo Station. Black Rock guns crush and fire shards of Black Rock, which have neutralizing properties.All Ammo Stations on Clearance 3 should have a Black Rock gunstrapped in the lower-left corner below their ammo table, but if you’re lucky, you may also find one inside a Shelter.
Black Rock guns have 90 ammo in total (30 in a magazine with 60 in reserve), andyou can’t resupply them from an Ammo Station. Thankfully, it only takes ~15 shots to neutralize a Cursed Object inFBC: Firebreak, and in theory, you’ll only need one Black Rock gun to neutralize all three Cursed items during a job.
On Clearance 3, each job site is divided into three segments, andeach segment will have one Corrupted objectif you have level 3 Corruption selected during the mission select screen. Like in other games withrogue-lite elements, Corrupted items will spawn randomly somewhere in that map segment — some cursed items have a tendency to float and move around, which means you’ll have to actively hunt them down.

Objects like Ramen Lantern and Wolf Globe are pretty tame, but Crowbar, Table Saw, and Snare Drum canblow the hinges off yourFBC: Firebreakrun. Snare Drum in particular can be a run ender, as the increased speed also affects the fire rates of ranged enemies, including the heavies wielding miniguns and grenade launchers.
