FortniteChapter 6 Season 3 dives headfirst into superhero territory, featuring iconiccollaborations with DC characters like Superman, a vibrant Battle Pass lineup, and a wide range of unique gameplay mechanics. With impressive POIs like Supernova Academy and the debut of wild gadgets, this season might just be the best Chapter 6 has delivered yet.
When it comes to exciting gameplay, Battle Royale players will need to gear up fast before clashing with enemies. While hot drops and Hero Caches are reliable sources of loot, taking on one of the hostile Spires might be another rewarding option. Here’swhere to find the Overlord and Scout Spires inFortnite, and how to beat them.
Where To Find Overlord Spires In Fortnite
Overlord Spires are one of two types of Spires players can take on inFortnite, and they arewithout a doubt the more challenging of the two. Only one Overlord Spire appears on the island at any given time, spawning randomly at the start of each match.
Its location ismarked by the larger of the two Spire icons on the map, and players can also identify it by the ominous dark cloud hanging above the POI it spawns in.
Once players drop into the area, the Overlord Spire may not be immediately visible. It descends from the sky shortly after someone enters its vicinity. To effectively deal damage to the Overlord Spire, players should aim for the yellow glowing weak points, which indicate critical hit zones.
Be cautious of its powerful laser attack, however, which is signaled by a roar, followed by a red tracking beam and a charge-up before firing. Additionally, the Spire will summon Demon Guards for backup once it takes enough damage.
Consistent focus on the weak points will eventually bring the Overlord Spire down. Upon defeat, it drops high-tier loot, includingEpic weapons, Gold Bars, consumables, and one guaranteed Exotic Unstable Weapon. These can include the Unstable Yoink Shotgun, Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol, or the Unstable Frostfire Shotgun.
Where To Find Scout Spires In Fortnite
Scout Spires are the second type of Spire that players can battle, and are much easier to take on than the previous. Unlike the Overlord Spire,Scout Spires can be found in multiple locations across the island, with their locations being shown on the map at all times as soon as players enter the Battle Bus, andcan be identified as the smaller Spire icon out of the two.
To damage a Scout Spire effectively, players should concentrate their fire on its face, which serves as its critical weak point. This will allow for consistent critical damage and make the encounter much easier to manage. Scout Spires are alsoguarded by multiple Demon Guards, so players should eliminate these enemies early to avoid being overwhelmed.
Like the Overlord Spire,Scout Spires feature a laser attack. However, it’s shorter and easier to anticipate, signaled by a red tracking laser that appears as it charges up. When players see the warning, they should quickly move behind cover to avoid taking damage.
Consistent damage to the Scout Spire’s weak point will eventually destroy it. Once defeated, Scout Spires can drop a variety of loot, includingEpic weapons, consumables, anda chance toreceive a random Boon.
Players will also be tasked to damage Overlord Spires or Scout Spires as part of the Kickstart Quests, rewarding players with 15,000 XP once 1,000 damage is dealt.
