The Worm Tooth is one of the two crafting ingredients needed to make an Unfixed Crysknife inDune: Awakening. Made from the tooth of a Sandworm, the Unfixed Crysknife is a notable item in theDuneuniverse’s established lore.
However, unlike a lot of other materials that can be obtained from the various resource nodes in the deserts of Arrakis, the Worm Tooth is incredibly rare, with only a single, dangerous method of acquisition in the entire game. Here’s how it works.

How to Get a Worm Tooth in Dune: Awakening
The only way to get a Worm Tooth is todie in the jaws of aSandworminDune: Awakening. Every time players get eaten by a Sandworm in the desert, all items in the backpack, as well as any vehicles nearby, end up completely destroyed. After players revive, the only item that will be left in their inventory is a single Worm Tooth.
It is highly recommended that players store their vehicles and items in their base before heading out into the desert to bait the Sandworm. Upon death, all items will be permanently lost, so it’s better not to have anything at all. The best places to attract the Sandworm quickly are the Drum sand fields in the Vermillius Gap (red sand), which emit stronger vibrations and make more sound.

When you die to the Sandworm the first time, you’ll be able to talk to the “Guide” toget a free Sandbike. If you choose this option, however, you will not get a Worm Tooth.
Players can only get one Worm Tooth at a time; it is impossible to farm this item. This is because, similar to quest items, a Worm Tooth is a bound item that cannot be deposited into storage containers or dropped on the ground. If a player has a Worm Tooth in their inventory and dies to a Sandworm, that Worm Tooth will be destroyed, and it will simply be replaced with a new one. Fortunately, the Worm Tooth can be destroyed (by using the drop key) to free up the backpack inventory slot.
How to Craft an Unfixed Crysknife in Dune: Awakening
Aftercompleting the Fourth Trial of Aql, you will automatically unlock the recipe for the Unfixed Crysknife. It requires the following:
After it is fabricated, the Unfixed Crysknife will be bound to your inventory, just like the Worm Tooth, which means you cannot get more than one of these. The Unfixed Crysknife is useless in actual combat, however, as it breaks with only one swing. There may be a special quest or lore unlock that becomes available in a future update, but there is no such thing in the game currently.
