Elden Ring Nightreignis a roguelike, which means that players will naturally look for broken builds that break the game as soon as possible.Nightreignmay not let players get as strong as they can in other roguelikes, but there are still some crazy OP builds that you can try with your trio on your next Expedition.

Most ofElden Ring Nightreign’s strongest perks come from Relics that cannot be obtained until later in the game, usually as a reward for completing Remembrance quests or defeating specific Nightlords. you’re able to still get super lucky during an Expedition and get you hands on a legendary weapon and plenty of strong passive buffs, though, and you can increase your odds of finding OP gear by visiting the right places during the first two days of a run.

How to Get OP Early in Elden Ring Nightreign

Each run ofElden Ring Nightreignwill vary quite a bit depending on your chosen Expedition and your luck with loot, but there are a few strategies to keep in mind so you can increase your chances of powering up.

Find Churches

Churches should always be one of your first stops during a newNightreignrun. Marked on the map with yellow icons, thesechurches add an additional charge to your healing flask, increasing the maximum number of heals you have by one. There are typically three churches on the map at any given time, so you should visit them as you move across Limveld to secure additional healing.

Stack Rune Acquisition Relics

Relic buffs may seem minor inElden Ring Nightreign, but they stack and can get really strong if you equip multiple of the same buff. This gets even more helpful if you have Relics that grant buffs to your allies as well. If you and your team run Relics thatboost rune acquisition, you’ll get much more XP per encounter and be able to level up way faster than usual. If your team has Relics that confer these effects to allies as well, all of these buffs will stack and greatly increase the number of runes you’re rewarded with.

You can easily hit level 10 and startfarming for legendary weaponsby the end of the first day with this method, so you should always keep an eye out for relics that boost rune acquisition. If you have Relics that transfer item effects to your allies, you can use Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot to increase rune gains as well.

Stack Passives

The passive effects on Relics and weapons stack inElden Ring Nightreign, so try to pick up multiple pieces of equipment with similar buffs to maximize their effectiveness. For example, stacking Ultimate Art Gauge passives will greatly increase the speed at which your ultimate ability recharges. Stacking Endurance upgrades will hugely benefit Nightfarers likeGuardian, too. These are just two examples, but the idea applies to every item inNightreign.

The same thing applies to the passives attached to gear that you loot during Expeditions. If the final boss is weak to fire, then look for weapons that increase your fire damage. If you’re playing as Guardian, look for passives that increase your poise and shielding abilities. For Recluse, look for passives that buff her magical spells. These percentage gains may seem small at first glance, but if you find one weapon you really like and then use your other inventory slots simply for passives, you’ll have a much easier time taking downElden Ring Nightreign’s hardest bosses.
