Stellar Bladehas a lot of bosses for players to overcome throughout the main story, but due to the save feature of the game, going back and repeating a boss fight isn’t very easy. Luckily, the Boss Challenge lets you face any boss you’ve already faced in the main story whenever you want.
Unlike a lot of bosses in the game, Mann isn’t faced as a boss during the main story, as he is an NPC that’s on Eve’s side. Mann is a secret optional boss that players can face to get aunique Nano Suitif you may beat him, here’s how to unlock and fight Mann.
How To Unlock & Fight Mann In Stellar Blade
Mann is not encountered as a boss throughout the main story, but you’ll still have to firstbeat the gameand roll credits before you’re able to fight him. After beating the game, go back to the main title screen of the game andselect the Boss Challenge. As long as you’ve beaten the game, Mann will appear as a secret boss in the Boss Challenge, acting the same as any other choice in the Boss Challenge. After being unlocked by finishing the game, Mann can be faced at any time in the Boss Challenge, with NG+ not affecting your ability to fight him.
How To Beat Mann In Stellar Blade
Some bosses in the Boss Challenge can be fairly easy if they are faced early on in the game, though that’s not the case with Mann. Being unlocked only after beating the game, Mann can be one of the more difficult enemies to face. You canstart a New Game +run to continue unlocking new skills and upgrading Eve to help you prepare, but this fight will require some level of skill to win.
Mann has a lot of tools and can attack you with something strong at any range. Right when the battle starts, he’ll have his swords and long gun. He’ll always start the fight with a long-range sword attack, which is fairly easy to perfect parry as the wind-up is long and clear. When in close, hemostly only attacks with two or three hit combos, taking breaks in between to give you a chance to attack back. Once you take out a fifth of his health bar, he switches to a hammer that can transform into a spear.
His long gun shot only fires once at a time and is fairly easy to dodge and counter with a dash attack.
No matter what weapon he is using, it’s always best to fight him up close to be able to parry him. He has ajump attack he will use oftenwhen you get some distance between you two, and it can’t be parried and targets you even after he launches at you. He also has acharge that starts with him dragging his hammeracross the ground, which turns into a grab attack if you get caught, making it his most deadly attack.
If you do ever find yourself with some space between the two of you, use the rocket launcher attachment to wear down his shields.Getting hit with a rocket will briefly stun him, letting you fire off as many as you have to deal damage and safety break his shield, just be sure to watch out for his long gun attack.
Aside from his dash and throw, all his close-range attacks can be parried, andparrying at least two in a row will cancel out most of his combosafter he has switched to the hammer. Save Tachy mode until the last fifth of his health bar, as he uses a powerful arena-wide sword attack, which is verydifficult to parry, so the protection from this form will give you some room for error.
