With Sandworms and large desert storms to watch out for, there is more than enough danger inDune: Awakening. However, on top of avoiding these perils andconstantly searching for water, there’s alsofall damageto consider, a common source of concern in exploration games.

Is There Fall Damage In Dune: Awakening?

Simply put, there is fall damage inDune: Awakening, but it is rarely too punishing. When players fall from a large rock formation, typically the only high points, they willtake some damage to their health. Unless they were already low on HP or the fall was from a tremendous height, theywill not die, and even if their health reaches 0, they can simplyself-revive.

However, being low on health is never good and will require players to use their healing consumables. Additionally, if they were tofall into an enemy camp, especially in a downed state, thendeath may be a possibility.

How To Prevent Fall Damage In Dune: Awakening

Thankfully, there are a number ofways to prevent fall damage inDune: Awakening, and with the correct setup, players will almost never need to think about it.

Suspensor Belts

Suspensor Belts are thenumber one way to avoid fall damage inDune: Awakening, as when they are equipped, theykick in whenever a player is falling too fast. There is no button to press, as itworks automatically.

Players mayfind Suspensor Beltswhen clearing scavenger camps or in other locations as loot. They can also research the schematics and produce them using a Fabricator in the base. As with all equipment, better versions can be researchedand made. In this case, superior Suspensor Belts often have extra effects, such as enhanced jumps, and they may or may not use less power and attract Sandworms less.

As theyuse up Power, players will also want to ensure theyhave a decent Power Packand don’t use too much Power before jumping down. It’s also important torepair Suspensor Belts and other items, using a Repair Station at the base. The Suspensor Training tree for Troopers can also help enhance Suspensors.

Use The Shigawire Claw Or Other Abilities

The Shigawire Claw ability for Troopers is easily one of the best, acting as agrappling hook. If players are falling and about to lose health, they canuse the Shigawire Claw on the groundto lift them up slightly, breaking the fall.

Other abilities, such as the Trooper’s Anti-Gravity Field, also work.

Cling Onto Rocks

If players find themselves in a pickle without a Suspensor Belt or anything else to stop them from falling, it’s alwaysworth trying to cling onto some rocks or any other surface. This is done by holding A/Cross or Space. Players may be abletoclimb down then,or at leastdrop from a lower height.
