What has been confirmed, however, is that007 First Lightis a wholly original story created and published by IO Interactive and will be the very first James Bond origin story. More specific details, such as a release date, price, or platforms, are currently unknown.
While best known for the iconicHitmanseries, IO Interactive’s publishing branch recently entered into a partnership with Build A Rocket Boy to be the official publisher oftheGTA-esqueMindsEye, which is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on June 10. Fans eager to see more of the title will want to tune into the IOI Showcase on June 6, as the studio has confirmed it will be revealing new details onMindsEye,Hitman World of Assassination, and007 First Light. The showcase will kick off on Friday, June 6, at 6 PM PDT and can be watched on the studio’s official Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok channels.
When Is the IOI Showcase?
According to a press release from IO Interactive, the upcoming showcase will be streamed live from Los Angeles and will feature new trailers, announcements, gameplay demos, and a live Q&A with key figures from IO Interactive, Build A Rocket Boy, and more. While fans can expect plenty of announcements pertaining to the likes ofHitman World of Assassination, the studio says it will also be sharing a look at its proprietary game engine, Glacier. IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak says the studio has “prepared some truly exciting surprises” for the event.
