The catalog of well-known and belovedshows obviously includedGame of Thrones, specifically episode 2 of season 9 titled “Blackwater”, which Martin scripted for the show, but his personal favorite was “The Lion and the Rose”. However, it certainly wasn’t his favorite episode he has ever seen, as he revealed that the final episode ofSix Feet Undertook the award for the best. Even though he expressed that he didn’t love the entire series as much asRome, Deadwood,orFargo,Six Feet Under’s “last episode was far and away the best finale in the entire history of television,” and he couldn’t “imagine how anyone could possibly do better.”
