Recent datamining forGenshin Impacthas revealed that the 5-Star banner characters for Version 5.8 will be Ineffa, Mualani, Chasca, and Citlali. Version 5.8 is shaping up to be a stacked update forGenshin Impact, as it will introduce a new map expansion for Natlan, Nod-Krai’s first character, the annual Summer Event, and a potential Story Quest for Mualani.
While Ineffa will undoubtedly be the star of Version 5.8, the upcoming patch will also feature some important reruns for Natlan characters. With the sole exception ofVaresa inGenshin Impact, who made her debut in Version 5.5, every single 5-Star from Natlan will have their second Event Banner by the end of the region – a notable contrast to how Wriothesley was treated in the Fontaine era.
According to HomDGCat, Version 5.8 will feature Ineffa, Mualani, Chasca, and Citlali on the Event Banners. The exact order of the characters is unknown, but Ineffa is almost guaranteed to headline the first half of the update. Should Chasca and Citlali share the second half of the update, it would make for a very stackedWeapon Banner inGenshin Impact. Unfortunately, there is no good way of speculating the character order for Version 5.8, soGenshin Impactplayers will have to wait until the Special Program Announcement to find out more.
Genshin Impact: Version 5.8 Banner Characters
Ineffa is a Nod-Krai character who transforms the Electro-Charged reaction into a far more powerful version. Her ability kit features gameplay similar to Fischl or Emilie, but unlike the aforementioned characters, Ineffa is also capable of summoning a shield. Presumably, she is intended to be an early look atNod-Krai inGenshin Impact, including its key combat mechanic. On the other hand, Mualani is famous for her ability to deal immense damage by setting up Vaporize hits. While most players prefer the simpler playstyle of Neuvillette, Mualani is a powerful Hydro hypercarry in her own right.
Chasca is a very underrated character among the Natlan cast. She scales well with Constellations, and her ability kit is extremely flexible, allowing players to tune her damage type based on whatever the current Spiral Abyss or Imaginarium Theater demands. Lastly,Citlali inGenshin Impacthas established herself as a premium Shield Support for both Neuvillette and Mavuika. While she locks her hypercarries into a Melt or Freeze playstyle, her Elemental Shred more than makes up for the difference. Version 5.8 is expected to come out on July 17, 2025.
