Summary
Throughout theFalloutseries, there have been many memorable moments. Whether it’smeeting Mr. HouseinFallout: New Vegasor tracking down Shaun for the very first time inFallout 4,Falloutgames are filled with lots of iconic moments. That said, while these games do have lots of goosebump-inducing moments, there are also plenty of hilarious ones that tend to catch the player off guard.
Falloutgames have lots of strange and funny moments sprinkled throughout that are hard to forget. This topic will go over some of the most memorable funny moments inFalloutgames. It’s worth noting that this list doesn’t just contain Bethesda’sFalloutgames. It also contains some moments fromFalloutgames made by other developers.
As the playerhelps out the folks in New Vegas, they’ll end up doing a couple of missions for the owners of the Atomic Wrangler Casino. Co-owner James Garret has a few things he needs help with to drum up more business.
One of the things he tasks the player with acquiring is a robot by the name of Fisto. Fisto (Fully Integrated Technetronic Officer) is a robot with “a less than wholesome” setting. Once the player finds and activates Fisto, they’ll be given the option to send the robot straight to James Garret or to “test” out its adult function. Needless to say, this situation is unexpected and makes for a good laugh.
The firstFalloutgame had its fair share of comedic moments. One of which saw the player encounter a small herd of peaceful Brahmin. For most players, nothing all that interesting will happen. However, there’s a chance for some of the Brahmin to say “Moo, I say!” The chance for this to happen is very low, so it might take players more than a few attempts to get this dialogue to pop up.
The first game in the series had a fair few special encounters that players had a chance to trigger. This special/random encounters mechanic is something that’s been present in every singleFalloutgame since.
The G.O.A.T. Test made its first appearance inFallout 3.It consists of ten multiple-choice questions that are designed to test how vault dwellers would act in certain scenarios. While all of the questions are pretty ridiculous, it’s the final question that is by far the strangest and funniest one.
The question is, “Who is indisputablythe most important person in Vault 101: He who shelters us from the harshness of the atomic wasteland, and to whom we owe everything we have, including our lives?” Each of the questions featured in the G.O.A.T. Test has four possible answers. While the answers are all rather strange, the answers to question ten are by far the funniest. All four options are the same: The Overseer.
Fallout 4is packed full of strange and funny scenes. Players can stumble across all sorts of comedic situations. However, one of the game’s darkest comedic moments is centered around the act of cannibalism. There’s a perk that players can take that allows them to consume downed foes. While unpleasant, it does give the player some benefits. However,if the player has a companionpresent, then they’ll have something interesting to say.
The lines vary from character to character, but some of the most memorable ones can be seen below:
There arelots of random encountersinFallout 76.Some contain enemies that will attack the player on sight, while others are considerably more bizarre. While there are lots of funny, random encounters inFallout 76, one of the funniest ones involves a terrified scavenger attempting to get away from a chicken.
Upon triggering this encounter, the player will see the scavenger trying to escape a chicken that is pursuing him. Should the player intervene and take out the troublesome fowl, then the scavenger will be very grateful.
6Finding The “Villain” Of Big Mountain (Fallout: New Vegas)
One Big Punchline From One Of Fallout: New Vegas’DLCs
Each of theDLCs forFallout: New Vegashas a unique storyline for players to follow. The Big Empty is centered around the player hunting down their harvested organs. While strange in itself, the Big Empty has lots of surprises for the player to stumble across. The main “villain” is Doctor Mobius. Players need to make their way to him in the Forbidden Zone to retrieve their organs.
Upon confronting Doctor Mobius, it becomes very clear that he isn’t actually evil, just confused. His taste for Mentats and Psycho has fried his brain, leading him to do a lot of strange things. The idea that the player goes through lots of dangerous situations to track down their vital organs, only to discover that the person responsible for taking them has no idea what’s going on, is a rather entertaining encounter.
7Come Fly With Me (Fallout: New Vegas)
Help A Religious Group Reach For The Stars
“Come Fly With Me” is one of the many side quests players can complete inFallout: New Vegas.Just like most of the other quests, there is more than one possible outcome. This particular quest involves the player helping out a group of Ghouls in the REPCONN Test Site. These Ghouls follow a somewhatmentally aware Glowing Ghoulcalled Jason Bright. Jason’s goal is to take his followers on the “Great Journey.” To put it bluntly, he wants to fix up the rocket ships stationed at the REPCONN Test Site and head to space.
This is one of the strangest and funniest missions in the game. There are a couple of different outcomes. While one does see the group of Ghouls successfully launch into space, another outcome sees their dreams of traveling through the stars come crashing down to earth.
8The Silver Shroud (Fallout 4)
Become A Superhero In A Post-Nuclear World
The Silver Shroud questline inFallout 4feels like a fever dream. With a little guidance from Kent Connolly, the player can become the Silver Shroud. Not only does this mean that the player gets to wear the iconic hero costume, but during the questline, the player will have the option to talk as The Silver Shroud. This leads to lots of strange and funny situations.
In a world largely destroyed by nuclear war, the fact that it’s possible to become a superhero is a truly strange and entertaining scenario. Even aftercompleting The Silver Shroud questline, there are a few situations where the player can speak as the Shroud, provided they are wearing the outfit.
