One of the main appeals ofFortniteis its many collaborations. What started as an original horde survival game has evolved into a battle royale starring some of the most well-known characters across all media.Fortnite’s latest season, “Super”, keeps this tradition by adding new crossover characters fitting of the theme.

What else elevates this season to Super status is the reintroduction of DC skins toFortnite’s Battle Pass. Superman’s inclusion to tie-in with the upcoming movie has been a great way to build hype, but to some fans, what could be the more exciting inclusion is Robin. This is the first time the character has officially featured in the game – excludingEminem’s Rap Boy skins– and any player with the Battle Pass can use the skin immediately. While his long-awaited debut will please fans of the character, his appearance makes the lack of another DC character - Cyborg - more apparent.

A Cyborg Skin Would Complete the Teen Titans Set

Cyborg Would Tie Into the Current Battle Pass

Raven was the first member of the Teen Titans to be available inFortnite, joining the Battle Pass in Chapter 2: Season 6. She was part of the Teen Titans set, which also included Beast Boy later in the same season. A skin for Starfire was added to the Item Shop in Chapter 3: Season 3, which was the last addition to the Teen Titans set prior toRobin’s inclusion this season. With four members of the original team featuring in the game already, the absence of Cyborg becomes noticeable.

Considering that Beast Boy’s addition to the Item Shop coincided with Raven’s Battle Pass appearance, it’s very possible that this could happen again this season for Cyborg. Most themed Battle Passes include an Item Shop skin to tie-in with the season’s theme, such as thecustomizable Mandalorian Warrior skinfeatured in theStar Wars-centric Galactic Battle theme last season. Adding Cyborg to the Item Shop could be the perfect way to promote DC characters being back in the Battle Pass, while also finally completing the Teen Titans set.

Cyborg Would Be Perfect for Squads

As one of the founding members of the Teen Titans, Cyborg’s current exclusion stands out, especially with the rest of the team all being playable. Players are currently able to play with a full squad of Teen Titans characters, but only for players who unlocked Rebirth Raven in Chapter 2: Season 6 Battle Pass. Though skins likeRenegade Raider and Sparkle Specialist have returneddespite previously being exclusive to the Battle Pass, this version of Raven has yet to return. For newcomers to the game, adding Cyborg to the Item Shop could be the only way to still have a Teen Titans squad.

There is still hope for Raven to become available once again, too. Though Battle Pass items have remained exclusive to players who acquired them, outside of very rare instances, this could change soon. Epic Games is considering allowingcertain Battle Pass items to returnat a later date. If Cyborg were to be added, and past Battle Pass skins like Raven were to come back, newer players could complete their personal sets too. Perhaps a full Teen Titans bundle could even be added once Cyborg makes his way to the game.

How Cyborg Could Look in Fortnite

If Cyborg is added to the game, there are many different versions of the character to draw upon, but it’s likely that he will match the style of the rest of the Teen Titans. For his design, there are many instances of the character that it could draw inspiration from. The one that is most likely is therumored live-actionTeen Titansmovie. Though Cyborg’s design from this movie is yet to be seen, there is a good chance that his Fortnite skin will tie in with this.

It is still unknown when or if Cyborg will appear in the Item Shop, but if this happens to be true, it will likely share his upcoming DCU appearance, much like the new Superman skin on this season’s Battle Pass. It is confirmed that DC Studios’ co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran will beworking with Epic Games to promote upcoming DC projects. Considering this, it is possible that a Cyborg skin, as well as Tim Drake’s Robin on the current Battle Pass, will reflect their appearance in the supposedly planned live-action movie.

This might not be the only version of Cyborg that could be added, though. Each of the previous Teen Titans skins also included additional Styles for the characters, changing their appearance. For Starfire, this just removed the Solar Hair effect, butextra Styles for the Rebirth Raven skinreference her appearances in other TV shows and comics. A Cyborg skin could be given the same treatment, with Style variants based on other media.

There is another type of skin that has been experimented with inFortnitethat could also be fitting for Cyborg. Cel-shaded skins have been inFortnitefor a while, but recently, the Pen & Ink style was added for comic book characters. Two skins that used this to great effect were thePen & Ink Deadpool and Wolverine skins, giving players a new way to play as these characters who were previously restricted to the Battle Pass. If Cyborg were added to the game, his design could replicate his iconic look from theTeen Titanscartoon or the comics. Not only would this be a great incentive for fans of the series, but it also invites the possibility of Robin and Raven skins in the same style, freeing them from Battle Pass exclusivity.

Fortnite’s Super season is already a must-play for DC fans, but the addition of a Cyborg skin would fill a gap that is noticeably missing. There is still plenty to look forward to this season, including theofficial release of the Superman skinand the bonus edit Style, but what could truly make the season feel complete is by adding the last remaining Teen Titans member to the Item Shop.
